Positives from this era: - US men’s hockey did believe in miracles - Boxing was still relevant - Pre steroid era, baseball records were set without suspicion - John Madden was at his best - There was no social media for every couch coach to criticize without repercussions -Magic v Larry - Jack was still hitting them straight and putting like no other - Pete set all-time hit record Negatives: -The Olympics became politicized - Football became a big business instead of a game - Pete was banned from baseball - Buckner let a ball roll through his legs -McEnroe going ballistic - Season on the Brink - The Pine Tar Incident - Drugs and East German athletes 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
