The sequence of events that actually played out was so rare. Fair point that the series of events, including bad calls, made it seem worse. But I still think it was a bad call. If we don’t convert, we lose. If we do convert, we get one or two low probability looks for a touchdown, but in most cases still end up kicking a field goal.
