btownqb
Some notes from Tuesday's game--- Cal Sefcik got another start at DH. He is clearly someone they like with two starts already in 4 games. He will need to produce, but that is a really good sign (mostly for next year, but depth always helps) Wiggins really looks the part. Stellar athlete.. big 6'4 225. Katzkee's curveball was disgusting the other night. I thought he pitched really well. It was like an 8 or 9 pitch AB, hung a curve, and Miami sent it. But I thought there were definitely noticeable gains in his "stuff". I was impressed. What he showed Tuesday night, I think he can throw some on the weekends. Katskee also threw a full inning, then came out for a second inning. Threw 12p to get through the first inning. Holderfield threw a great, crisp inning. He has really beefed up, too. Jack Moffitt, Whiteaker, Buhr all looked very good. Buhr went 1.1IP in 13p Keyster maybe struggled a bit, but by no means nothing major. We only had 1BB the other night and struck out 12. ---------------------------------------------------- Guys we haven't seen--- Grable, Rushing, Ey and then some FR arms. bronkonagurski
Scary moment in B8, Taylor face planted diving for a ball but stayed in the game. Just a bloody nose apparently. 7-4 IU headed to the 9th. Edited February 24 by bronkonagurski

btownqb
Also... Grant Holderfield 😍 Nasty stuff from the left side in the last two innings. Reminder-- he sat out all of last season with an injury. 4Ks 0BB-- he was electric. 32 pitchers--- it's possible we could use him again on Sunday, although, this early in the season-- Mercer might elect to go elsewhere, but I'm 100% a fan of this kid getting "high leverage" situations. ---------- Julian Tonghini so far this season in 2 appearances-- 6.2IP 2H 3BB 4K

Julian is a transfer from Boston College. I just have had him on my radar sooner... he pitched big innings for BC last year. BC was a very solid club last year. Curveball has some nasty stuff to it. btownqb
Also.. this is fun, so many of you following this thread. I just so wish this sport/team was more accessible for you all. You'd greatly appreciate the talent and hustle these dudes display. Baylors announcers were incredibly complimentary of our guys.

I say this every year, but it’s a shame the Big 10 Network won’t really cover this sport (or softball).

Respectfully--- and I am NOT trying to tell anyone how to spend their money.... But--- if anyone is actually able to sit and watch their games once conference play starts... You're looking at like being able to 16+ games a month for $10. 🤷♂️ Also-- this weeks broadcast on BTN+ was VERY good. By far the best they've had. 🤞 Edited February 24 by btownqb
