Zlinedavid
A) not to be confused with McCorkle Jones, current Jaguars QB. B) That’s a solid get for Coach Cig if he had offers from Florida, Florida State and Iowa.

BobSaccamanno
The staff has quietly accumulated a very good start to this class. We seem to be far ahead of historical norms in terms of collecting higher end players.

Artesian_86
I wonder what has made these last two players to de-commit? Man, a verbal commit used to be pretty solid, at least had some duration to it.
IU Scott
https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/class-of-2025-top-500-db-chris-mccorkle-no-longer-verbally-committed-to-iu-football/ So why do these guys commit early then decommit a month later

IU Scott
So as an IU fan we should not ever get excited about a commitment until the player actually signs

HurryinHoosiers
even if they sign, schools usually let them out. if they play, they may transfer out after a year. woohoo

BobSaccamanno
Coach Cignetti has shown he can navigate recruiting. For each kid who decommits he will find opportunities to land talent. It’s just going to be a merry round getting there. The more important thing IMO to watch will be player development and having a team that is sound and won’t beat itself. That alone can get you W’s. CCC talks about his success in close games. This will make a huge difference. 🤞
