Zurkツ
That’s terrible. Jim Boeheim might’ve just ruined his career...but there isn’t much of a chance. He wasn’t speeding or drinking.

Hoosierhoopster
From the report it sounds like the road conditions were bad, leading the first car to hit the guard rail, that Boheim then sought to avoid that car and then hit the passenger of the first car who had gotten out and was near the first car. Doesn't sound like he was at fault, but a sad and awful result.

From what I read on ESPN it does not sound like eh did anything wrong. He wasn't speeding and his breath test came back negative so he wasn't drinking and driving. Zlinedavid
At night, somewhat icy conditions, stone cold sober, other vehicle broken down in the middle of the road....just one of those unfortunate accidents.
rico
A man is dead...and I bet Jim has headworms about it. Feel bad for all parties concerned.

Zuckerkorn
A tragedy for all involved. Considering how much time coaches spend on the road with recruiting, it's kind of surprising it doesn't happen more often (auto accidents). I recall the time when Tom Crean's wife banned him from texting while driving. He blew it off, until one day, he admitted to running off the road while texting. I realize that the Boeheim thing is different. However your point is well taken. These coaches spend a ton of time on the road... and it's surprising that incidents don't happnen more often. Seeking6
I'll say this. Good friend of mine here in Indy hit a pedestrian downtown several years ago (9 or so). Pedestrian was drunk/high, spent a few months in hospital and ultimately died. My friend was returning home from work late at night and just didn't see him. Hopefully Boeheim has a good support system around. My friend still almost a decade later thinks about it almost daily. It never leaves you taking another life. Accident or not. And though I am fine.... many of my fellow buddies, still are troubled to this day.
