Coach Robby Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Is transferring from Colorado State, immediate grad transfer...former coach recruited him slightly...has nwi roots being from east Chicago. Helped coach Indiana junior all stars a few years ago. Kid could play but struggled academically...let’s give him a look! sorry haven’t looked up stats from past season...will shortly
Coach Robby Posted May 6, 2019 Author Report Posted May 6, 2019 Not a world beater but serviceable in my opinion. Also I should note above, my varsity coach helped with jr all stars, we attended practice and games.
Zlinedavid Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 He spent 2 years in Juco. As a junior, started the year at Texas Tech but did not play, and transferred at semester break. Sat out 2nd half of junior year and 1st half of Sr year, and played 2nd semester at CSU. Was a 4* top 100 recruit out of HS. Doesn't really fill a need other than depth though. Sub 30% 3PT shooter, but a really small sample size. Edit: Also, as it's been stated, IU doesn't make grade concessions for grad transfer athletes. If he struggled academically, he may not get in.
addictedtoIU Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Time flies. I remember he took a picture with Crean in SSAH as a high school freshman.

I’m guessing grades are better since he got in tt and CSU. No idea though, though worth discussing
BADGERVOL Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 I thought there was a thread talking about how Grad Transfers had to be pretty darn high academically by IU standards. Might not work. 🤷🏻♂️
BGleas Posted May 7, 2019 Report Posted May 7, 2019 Maybe as a preferred walk-on? Last thing IU needs is another guard that shoots 30% from 3. There are, or at least were, far more talented grad transfer guards on the market.
