Leathernecks
I didn't see the preferred walk on part before I started to research it, so I was pretty surprised we'd take him with one of our last remaining scholarships. As a walk on though, it can't hurt to bring a guy in with 2 years of game experience under his belt. Zlinedavid
So....we're getting a guy with 2 years of juco experience essentially for free? I'll take that all day long. I like how Allen is adding depth through the juco ranks. Something that none of the coaches in recent history have done all that much. At the absolute worst, you've got a guy with 2 years of college experience to practice against vs a true freshman. Best case, you wind up with a diamond in the rough. Likely scenario, it's quality depth.
Seeking6
Do preferred walk ons getting any financial assistance? Or is this kid and his family choosing to pay the $50k out of state by themselves?
Leathernecks
His teammate is also going to be a preferred walk on. https://indiana.rivals.com/news/indiana-hoosiers-football-juco-wr-christian-harris-commits-to-iu

BobSaccamanno
Did you get to participate in team meals for free?
B_A
Training table was hit or miss with an aide taking attendance. We were told to carry a meal plan and they'd deduct cost from it, but that didn't happen. It was common just to sneak in with a group of 10 schollies or just go grab food in the Foster food court with others.
