mrflynn03
So for some reason I was going through scrapbooks tonight. For those that dont know, Steve's dad, Sam Alford is from my hometown, Washington, Indiana and was part of the 1967 regional finalists team. I went to church with Steve's grandmother at First Baptist in Washington. Wonderful lady. Anyway. I knew I had met Steve before. At church but also he held a speaking event at the Hatchet House, that I went to with my grandma, and there wasn't an empty seat. And he signed my program. Very good guy. I wish I would have listened to him more... Knew Steve when he was just a kid hanging around the old Glenn Curtis Memorial gym waiting for his dad to get done with his coaching duties for the day...
