I saw "Rush" at Franklin College in 1975 (I think). Peart hadn't been in the band all that long, but was very impressive. Kinda Keith Moon light to me. And you're right...Geddy Lee's voice is hard to listen to...maybe that's why "2112" (a lot of instrumental work) is my favorite "Rush" LP. And I think that's the same year I saw John Mellencamp at the Artcraft Theater in Franklin. He went by John Cougar then...

All things considered probably right move....but if a venue who can hold the Kentucky Derby, Vatican City, Rose Bowl, Yankee Stadium, Roman Coliseum, Wimbledon's Campus....all inside the track can't have social distance where in the f do we expect to have people this year? I applaud Penske. Tough call for sure. He's our steward of the track but man.... Oh well. Fire up the backyard party, listen to the race and can't wait for May next year.

I was waiting on Peart...I respect him and Rush...but I could never get into their music. Just wasn't for me....mainly the vocals. I like DMB and Carter quite a bit...I've even seen them a few times live. He is definitely underrated.

I’m taking a knee on the nba and nfl...done so the past two years haven’t gone to any games and rarely watch anymore than the playoffs and haven’t missed it a bit. Throw all the stuff on the jerseys now (the only ones approved are on one side of these issues) and nfl supporting planned parenthood directly by some teams and through United way who donates to Planned parenthood local chapters and well I wish sports (should be the one uniter is used to divide) would stay out of taking sides. I know people think politics and sports should coincide but guess I’m in the minority and would like it kept out. Like you I solved it by not buying any merchandise, tickets, and doing my best to limit my consumption (something very hard for a sports nut I admit lol).

Moratoriums on foreclosures, utility disconnections, etc are about to end. Our economy is about to fall off a cliff.

You are ok with 7 million kids not getting mental health services? An increase in suicides that will kill more kids than Covid? Kids not getting meals? Kids suffering from the abuse of parents- who will be even more stressed out with kids home full time? Depression and or mental disorders affecting our teens? Increases in drug overdoses? Should we just add a year of school to make up for what will be a lost year of learning for many kids? How about the loss to our economy and the effects on parents where one has to stay home with the kids? I used to be really in to DMB in high school. I still say Carter Beauford is one of the most skilled drummers out there. That one one handed drum roll right before 3 minutes in the clip below, I mean come on... ......and then if you want to go above and beyond with skill, you need to learn about Terry Bozzio and The Black Page, which was written by Frank Zappa.
