Happy Thanksgiving y’all. I’m thankful that Brad Stevens was rumored as our new coach, and therefore I found this message board. This season has been a blast so far watching this team grow and reading y’all bitch. 😜 Along with some great insight, opinions, and thoughts. 😀 PS: wasn’t real sure where to park this post8 points

Happy thanksgiving to the best board in the land! Thankful for all the members and mods! Even the ones I don’t agree with ;). Thankful to live in the best country in the world even through all the tough times! Go Hoosiers.6 points

Saban told the Bama locker room that players making different amounts of money also happens in the NFL and to just deal with it. Liked his head-on approach.5 points

I don't think there has ever been a superstar player that is as unlikable as Lebron is. The guy is as big of a whiny ass douche bag as there is in sports.5 points

I don’t know, I think there is value in almost any Power 5 road win. Is it the same as beating Duke, UCLA or whoever? No, but a road win against an ACC team will hold value. Syracuse isn't great this year, but their SOS and that its on the road would probably make that a quad 2 game at worst.5 points

I'm a big Lander believer. Last year with Covid schedule...and our actual schedule I don't think he got a chance to really get some minutes like he is this year vs some easier opponents. Tough balance on minutes while learning and minutes that costs coach (Archie) losses. Not sure what will happen once Rob and Trey gets back but I'm excited to see the kid play for the time being because unless every recruiting service in the world was dead wrong....he's got the game.4 points

I'm no LeBron fan, but If that's what they said I would have been ok with him punk slapping the dude...3 points

I'm thankful for the job I have now. Started 15Feb21. Without this job I wouldn't have the time I needed this year to be there for family. I'm very fortunate, I work 136 days a year. I have a weekend day shift job so I sacrifice my weekends but its worth it. My wife is self employed massage therapist so she can match my schedule. Took over a decade to get to this but life is good.3 points

I want our Hoosiers to win and prove themselves but it's looking like B1G is weak this year. It's early though. Yeah MU is overrated, but I want IU to kick the $@&% out of good teams. And I believe they will3 points

I dislike Jim Boheihm so much, (who cares how his name is spelled). Takes a good looking, good hearted woman to produce offspring with that ugly cheating bastard.3 points

From what we’ve all seen so far this season, I for one think the future is bright with a Bates - Lander Tandem. They play really well together from what I can tell and the game seems to have a more energetic and faster pace that also carries a bit of swag. Two high IQ kids. B1G play I think will separate the two a bit with Bates being the more valuable of the two. Some of that is size and some of skill and confidence.3 points

Yessir, for the past 12 years or so straight, and intermittently before that... Last year my smoker conked out on Thanksgiving eve and I was supposed to bring it to my youngest daughters house over in San Marcos...so I put it in a roaster, ran an extension cord through the back window of our truck as it has an outlet in the bed, and had it like 2/3rds done by the time we got there (3 1/2 hour drive)... Hence, the new Dyna-Glo 😁...my wife wasn't gonna go another Thanksgiving with a smoked turkey...2 points

Expect more and more of this as time moves along. It's human nature but I hope we have a NIL plan that will raise $ for whole team. Not just the stars.2 points

They are...when we lived in Chicagoland, and IU would come to Evanston, me and my youngest daughter (now 26 and married) would go...she told me it was a highlight of her teen years...we were there when Rod Wilmont put on a 3 point shooting display (9-13) for the ages. That was a LOUD IU road crowd that night in Welsh-Ryan...she still tells people about that... I've already told her if IU makes the tournament and gets sent to San Antonio for the first round (she lives in San Marcos, and I live near Houston) I'd like for us to go... Her answer was, "Hell yeah!"2 points

It depends on how you look at it, while this might not add much to their resume, it will be a good teaching game for Coach Woodson on how to beat an effective zone. That will come in handy through the season and in the NCAA Tournament.1 point

The only thing I'm concerned about is how we shoot in that barn of a gym. I'm really starting to believe in the defensive effort that the entire team brings. I think we have enough pieces and enough coaching on the bench to excise those demons once and for all. And doing it in their house makes it that much sweeter.1 point

I think so too. The Girard-XJ matchup will be interesting...Girard is 15-20 from 3 this year...he scored over 4,500 points in high school, so he knows how to shoot...1 point

I have nothing critical to say about this game. Defense is excellent. Fouling and TO's were kept to a reasonable level. Offense, especially shooting, is getting there. We will need it all going forward. Keep up the good work!1 point

I am not buying the Tom Allen hate. He knows what it takes and he knows football. We had a terrible year. But the last time he was frustrated with the offense, he went out and got Kalen DeBoer. It was as much about style of offense as it was about the man himself. Allen knows what he wants to see on both sides of the ball and hopefully we make a bunch of corrections and bring in a bunch of new players. One way or another, Allen knows what it will take. In the end, this is IU football. Nick Saban is never walking through that door. If your expectation is winning the B1G East every year, it is not in the cards, not in any of our lifetimes. We do have a guy with a good football mind. There is way too much evidence supporting that.1 point
