  1. It’s so obvious he’s behind the line lol.
  2. Not a picture but a video replay shows it. At the 00:37 mark you can clearly see his foot well beyond the back line. Martinez has done this multiple times which makes sense since I’m guessing this isn’t the first time he’s been outside the box. They need to do a better job of having a clear separation between catcher and batter so this stops happening. And it’s not illegal unless the player has both feet in the box which didn’t happen. Last place sucks but as a Cards fan, luckily it doesn’t happen too often.
  3. Lol I know the rules. Martinez’s back foot was outside the batter’s box which isn’t allowed.
  4. Or maybe Martinez should’ve been completely inside the batters box.
  5. Ugh Contreras fractured his arm on a backswing. He was off to a great start.
  6. I already said the Cardinals sucked lol. This isn’t about them. My point is the NL Central isn’t doing anything in the playoffs.
  7. It’s the Dodgers/Braves and then everyone else. No one in the Central can compete with them IMO.
  8. Cards just lost 2 of the 3 to the lowly Sox. My hope is it results in sweeping changes but probably not.
  9. Man that stings giving it away like that in the 9th but congrats on the series win. Nothing more maddening than walking a bunch of dudes.
  10. Didn’t want to assume that’s what you meant but I figured it was. Oh it’ll be a lot different but I’m excited to see what they look like.
  11. Top 15 preseason is down? Sure it’s down from a NC appearance but wouldn’t call it down overall.
  12. Yeah I think that’s a stretch to say one of the best in the country. If it was just point guard sure but I think Loyer needs to take a big step for us to be in the conversation of best backcourt in the country. I do think Smith is one of the best PG’s in the country though.
  13. Yeah that’s a headscratcher. I’d be pissed if I was a Falcons fan.
  14. True but even elite teams stumble sometimes.
  15. That’s fair. Looking back at the last 5 tournaments, a runner-up, elite-8, and a S16 isn’t matched by many programs. But you make a good argument.
  16. I feel like depending on who you ask, the range of what makes a team/program elite can differ widely. I think the last 3+ years, we’ve been an elite team/program. Remains to be seen if we can maintain it.
  17. I feel like the crook Miami booster would throw out a $5 mil offer lol.
  18. I was just referring to someone who won the award and came back because they weren’t going to be a first round pick. I agree they’re very different players. 30 years ago Edey would’ve been the number 1 overall pick no questions asked. Hard to say but I think he could’ve easily cleared $2 million and maybe upwards of $3 mil.
  19. I’d go with men’s basketball followed by volleyball.
  20. Tshiebwe did it just a few years ago. NIL has certainly changed things where players that would’ve easily left to either play in the league or overseas now are coming back because they’ll be paid more. Pre-NIL, I doubt TJD would’ve stayed for his senior year tbh. Just the reality of this new world we live in with NIL.
  21. Exactly. When you lose an assistant to a clearly inferior program because our AD won’t pay a competitive rate, you do what you have to do.
