What a horrible series for the Reds in Seattle. They got swept by a team that hadn't won a series this year. Today lost 5-1 and Reds only got 1 hit a home run and only two base runners all day.

For my lifetime the Reds just struggle playing on the West Coast. Most of it is because for some reason our hitting disappears out west.

Transfers are getting ridiculous when guys who starts for really good teams transfers.

I keep seeing people saying we need sharp shooters but there is more to shooting than just 3 pointers. I want a player who can score at all 3 levels over a guy who only shoots 3's. I would call Calbert Cheaney a sharp shooter even though he didn't shoot a lot of 3's.

What happened over there 

Another year of having to put up the stupidity that is Davis Bell. He will take out starters to early when they are out crying well but will let bullpen guys totally blow a game wid open.

Today they were down 2-1 going to the 7th and let Sims walk 4 guys and give up 3 rums before taking him out.

Seriously I think it is still early to really know because we don't know what other teams roster will be.

A top 3 finish in the big ten and make the sweet 16 or better would be great.

Ballo reminds me of Kofi for UI a couple of years ago.

So if we get Carlyle then our starting 5 is set and have Galloway and Tucker as our top 7. That is a really good top 7 but it will get more difficult to bring in a wing who can really shoot and at least one more big guy.  Most of these recruits are in the portal for the money or a better opportunity for playing time. So what kind of players can we get that are good enough for IU but are willing to come off the bench.

If Ballo takes all of his visits it would be hard waiting until after his last visit. If we can get Payne right now then you probably should take him.

I thought it was said that Galloway is willing to come off the bench to win.

If the rumors are true about Carlyle committing soon then I never thought Hickman and Conwell would come here. Also the same with Payne if Ballo commits. If Carlyle and Ballo commits I think it will start getting harder to fill the rest of the openings. The top portal prospects will want to go somewhere where they can be a starter so will guys like Conwell or Payne will have interest coming off the bench.

I think for the back up guard roles we have to hope guys like Cupps and Newton can come in next year and play a big role coming off the bench. I think we need to look at the backup 4 and 5 position through the portal. It will still be hard to bring in some of the better portal prospects to fill those positions. That is why it might be guys lol me the Evansville or the guy from Grace to fill them.
