  1. To me this is kind of funny on the same day that a Duke insider puts a crystal ball prediction for us on Kaufmann is the same day this guy post this tweet.
  2. Yeah you and Fepaugh are never wrong. I bet he is over on rivals talking about Duncomb not being a high enough rated recruit.
  3. Give it a rest, we know you don't like Archie but your statement is ludicrous.
  4. I wouldn't say Geronimo was a lower rated recruit with him being a top 100 player
  5. What new assistant, I don't think anyone left did they?
  6. Great pickup and he looks like your typical UW post player who we always wished had come to IU
  7. Good read and I have had a feeling Jordan will be a very good player earlier than people are thinking.
  8. So do I and just don't understand why coaches today can't see that is a more efficient way to run an offense than the ball screens we see today. Also back then you saw a team come into the front court and start their offense right away. Now we see them just come up and dribble a few seconds or go into the weave for 15 seconds before starting their offense. With this time off these coaches should look at these older games and see how well a lot of these offenses ran compared to wat we see today.
  9. I also think why offenses are not as good now is that the analytics has taken out the mid range game and you no longer see kids shooting a 12-15 foot shot. Those early 90's team had several guys who shot those 15 foot baseline shots at a great percentage.
  10. It is because they all took good shots and did not have t force shots at the end of the shot clock. 45 seconds was a good tie for a shot clock because it still allowed you to work on offence to get a good shot. It also prevented teams from just holding the ball the last 4 minutes of the game. Today at 30 seconds you just don't have time to run an offense where you move the ball and the players moved. You see way to many times where a player has to take a contested shot at the end of the clock that has about no chance to go in.
  11. Another thing that caught my eye watching these older games is how announcers talk about how guys will be coming back the next year. Watching the 81 championship game the other day and Billy Packer without hesitation talked about how 8 of the 10 starters will be back the next year. We are talking about 5 or 6 1st round draft picks on the floor and there was no talk about guys leaving early. Even though IT did leave and Turner had his accident it is just funny how times were so different. Even watching the 92 sweet 16 game against FSU they talked about how every starter in that game would be back the next year which all did. To me this is the biggest difference in basketball then than what it is today. I know people get tired of me saying how much better the game was back then but this is why it was better. I did not say the individual player talent was any better back then but best players stayed and your team could grow over the years. Last night the Assembly Call crew watched the 93 sweet 16 game against UL and then had a show afterwards to discuss the game like they do normally after a game. They kept talking about what kind of leader Calbert was and how he could take a game over which is true. The thing was that he was a great senior player who was so experience to know how to take the game over. Today we see so many players leaving early for the NBA who is not even close to being ready. Vanderbilt has two guys turning pro and they were one of the worst power 5 teams in the country this year. I know it is different and don't blame the palyers in thinking about the NBA but this kind of thinking is what is hurting the college game.
  12. Watching these old games and seeing guys like Eric Anderson and Allan Henderson who were very good from 15 feet so if TJD could get that in his game.
  13. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2020-nba-draft-prospects-tracker-killian-hayes-patrick-williams-anthony-edwards-make-declarations/ List of guys putting their names into the draft
  14. Campbell, Paschal and Fountain and TY
  15. I think they will pick at least two WR in this draft hopefully with 34 and the 3rd round pick.
  16. I work for a trucking company in Indy and we are having some trouble getting them enough loads to haul. Our biggest customer is Subaru and they are shut down and we do other automotive so it hard on them. Starting tomorrow I am going to be working from home because I can do invoicing from home. Just saw the new numbers for Indiana and we are up to 365 cases and 13 deaths.
  17. What I hear don the radio from Peter King is that the Colts did not want to go more than one year and Brady wanted more years.
  18. He makes it that he was such a good player but I watched a couple of games form 83 and he only saw like 30 second sin one game and none in the other game.
  19. Maybe Brady was not interested in coming to and living in Indianapolis. Also the Colts being the one that turned him in for deflate gate probably did not help
  20. He is good when healthy but he can't stay healthy
  21. Sounded like the Colts and Jags discussed a trade for Foles before the Colts signed Rivers. I think they said the colts were offering a 5th rounder so they got a better offer from the bears.
  22. We all know that the 74-75 and 75-76 are the two best teams of all time so they will be playing for the championship. And we know Scott will tell us how much better those guys were back in the olden days, with their short shorts! As for this comment I think the product on the court back then is way better than wat we see today. Players today are more athletic but that does not mean they play basketball better than the past players.
  23. Indiana is up to 30 cases and have their 2d death in Johnson county
