  1. Wonder if all of them will be a fall signee or will some wait until the spring to sign.
  2. Problem is I think part of the problem with recruiting is the perception that he is already on the hot seat. I know people don't want to believe it but when fans constantly criticize the coach and talk about them being on a hot seat only hurts recruiting. You don't think other coaches don't use that in negative recruiting when they see the fan turning on the coach.
  3. So I guess the Lakers hiring of Frank Vogle is the reason they have the best record and not trading for Davis and having Lebron on their team.
  4. Brad did not like the hours it took to coach in college especially all the hours in recruiting. To me if you are all about actually coaching the game it would be in college because you actually get to teach the game. In the NBA it is about relationships with your best players and letting them do what they want.
  5. I guess that is why I prefer college sports because I root for the jersey and not individuals. Also I had no idea why Belein even wanted to go the NBA in the first place because you are more of a baby sitter than a coach.
  6. I just don't like the fact that the players are running the league and dictating how the organizations are ran and who puts the team together. also coaches don't practice 3 hours before a game because they are only allowed to practice 20 hours a week.
  7. This kind of thing is what has soured me on the NBA the last 15 or so years. I know it has always happened but now it is more prevalent and is out there for everyone to see.
  8. Well the Pacers are struggling once again against some of the worst teams in the NBA. The had a 94-82 lead with 10 minutes to go and now it is 98-97 with 6 minutes to go. New York is the worst offensive team in the NBA and they scored 60 points in the first half. They have already lost to Detroit 3 times, Cleveland once and Charlotte once so we can't lose to the Knicks.
  9. Never understood why Beilein left to go to the NBA n the first place
  10. Have no idea what the Pacers problem is when they face the Pistons. The Pistons are now 9-14 but they are 3-1 against the Pacers with anther win tonight. I have never been a fan of Myles Turner and I feel like it is time for him to be moved in a trade.
  11. Watched it on YouTube and it is hard to see coach Knight the way he is now.
  12. Even though the Pacers ended up losing to the Rockets tonight it was one of the grittiest efforts I remember seeing. Already without VO, Turner, Lamb and Summner they lost Brogdon after 9 minutes. Also Warren was in foul trouble and fouled out and probably played less than half the game. With all of that the Pacers were up 88-84 with 9 minutes to go in the game but the Rockets went on a 14-0 run to pull away. For most of the game the lineup had both Holidays and McDermott, McConnell, Sabonis and Goga and with all of that they competed very well against a very good team.
  13. Eric Gordon out 6 weeks with a knee surgery
  14. Pacers move to 6-4 with a win at Orlando last night. Have won 6 out of 7 since the 0-3 start and this is without Turner, VO, Lamb, Goga and Summner which shows the job the coaching staff is doing this year.
  15. Pacers finally beat Detroit tonight winning 112-106 and I don't understand why they scheduled the Pacers to play them 3 times in the firs t9 games.
  16. I think San Antonio has a rodeo every year
  17. He did miss most of one year with a calf injury
  18. Also if they lose the young fans then they are in trouble because I think the demographic that that is really into the NBA falls between 15-35 years old. I feel like the nBA has lost some fans that are my age or older through the years so they can't afford to lose the younger generation.
  19. to me if you are going to rest players do it at home because when they go on the road it might be the only time in the season hose fans could see them play.
  20. I would assume the answer to this is like everything else in pro sports and that is MONEY
  21. https://clutchpoints.com/nbas-new-2016-17-schedule-significantly-reduces-back-to-backs-and-4-games-in-5-nights/ A couple of years ago the NBA did make changes to reduce the amount of back to back games
  22. Maybe not to today's standards but he is compared to an MJ and the guys that played all 82 games back then. Also today's NBA is not as physical and grinding as it were back then so it should be easier to play most games.
  23. To me it is ridiculous to be sitting out games this early in the season because of rest. Also I just think they just pamper these players today from the time they are 14 so these kids expect it even when they get to the NBA. Another thing the players are soft today.
  24. Good win for the Pacers who were without Sabonis tonight so they were without 3 starters if you count VO. How many teams could be without 3 starters and still win a game.
