  1. With Rozier being a restricted free agent, does that mean he could only be included in sign and trades?
  2. Exactly. Nothing more needs to be said. It's ok to have your opinion changed and just admit it when it is slightly misinformed. Ive done it many times. It goes like this. "Ok, that makes sense, build for the future."
  3. Draft picks are tradimg chips for moving up in drafts or enhancing your bargaining power to package with other trades. Thad is at the end of his peak. Wasn't it Red Auerbach that said trade em before value goes down? Too late now. We don't even own any of those rights. Maybe this equations makes more sense. Nothing < something. Pacers have nothing.
  4. What run? What happened was totally predictable. You ignore the trade of Thad and another for a mid 1st rounder. That has value and Thad could still be resigned in the summer and let him retire here. We have already had this discussion. You complain about small market teams not having a chance. Drafting 18 gives you about a 5% chance of striking gold. Why not up your chances to 10%. Agree to disagree. Point is pacers got nothing but a first round bounce that everyone knew was coming. What would have been even worse would have been hanging onto the 3 and getting beat by the nets.
  5. A few 2nd rounds picks or a package of Thad and one or 2 of them for a mid to late first rounder. Talks of pacers tradimg back because after the top 3 there is t a big difference in the rest of the 1st round so you get more swings at finding your Donovan Mitchell or OG. Say you have your own and Phillies 24 because they sure could have used the depth of Thad and and a Collison or Joseph. 18 and 24 have packageable value too. Instead we have nothing. Something > nothing
  6. You basically have to. However, he's a third or fourth guy on a contender but the pacers will have to pay him 2nd guy money. Perpetual middling.
  7. That's fine, picks or something. A package, anything. Instead those 6 equal nothing and rumors saying a few teams are going to target Bojan with big money. At least picks are cheap and offer you a chance. Instead there is a high probability 4-5 of those guys returned zip, zero zilch besides an uninspired first round exit.
  8. Pacers made a major mistake not trading some of those expiring contracts for some picks or something. I'll probably be talking about this for years. What a waste, especially and specifically when Vic went down. Thad, Bojan, Collison, tyreke Evans, Kyle OQuinn, Cory Joseph. You mean to tell me that a team looking to be a major player in free agency wouldn't have a taken a few of those cats? Not one of them was going to lead to the conference to finals. And if you do plan to bring a few back, you tell them how much you love them on the way out and that you will be calling their agent in the spri.g about bringing them back but at the moment this is about improving for the future because this season is over. Sigh, rant over.
  9. Oh heck yeah. I laid 8n bed last night thinking about how could the pacers get into top 3. I got nothing. Like I have said. Six. 6 expiring contracts and they did Jack diddly squat. Even if you are bringing Thad, Bojan, and a Collison on the cheap back, there was zero chance of getting to the conference finals with that roster. It's business and they didn't play. On foreign guys, no clue but someone always pops up.
  10. Nope. After the first three, the rest are not gauranteed starter material. More likely to trade down than up.
  11. Welp, 30 assists on 42 field goals. Golden State is back in business.
  12. Amazing order. Do Lakers say screw it and trade LeBron if they can't lure LeBron some help? Does Anthony Davis reconsider and hear out his new gm? Too bad Mike Conley has the 2nd worst contract in the NBA. Guess they just keep him unless, although maybe they'll buy him out???
  13. Daryl Moray parades around like he invented GMing but he has the worst contract in the NBA on his hands. Cp is 34.
  14. Yep, he's old. Rockets blast is now a sputter.
  15. The Gran Prix killed as far as racing goes. That was must see. Great start of events
  16. Well earlier today someone mentioned Iverson. He may not have been a shooter per se but his mid range game was nasty and if he xould easily get around guys that could grab him, lol, thinking about him getting wherever he wants now. Clyde and MJ driving or mid range. You have to remember, they literally had to shove the defenders hands and arms out of the way before making a move.
  17. And this goes back to post Vic injury, pre trade deadline. Pacers had 6 expiring contracts and did Jack diddly squat.
  18. And now, what's his name, Dakich's basketball buddy just said Mark it down, kyrie to Lakers.
  19. What's crazy is Vegas now has the nets as favorite to land Kyrie. Weirdness all around. Now of we can just watch the warriors implode.
  20. Gotta think grad transfers or 2020/2021 guys if anyone.
  21. It is but if it can get collectively better, I'm for it. It think killing off a few teams and shrinking the schedule some would improve the overall product.
  22. I don't disagree I just want a better product I don't care how we get there
  23. Yeah 50 and even 60 game sounds like a dream I could see them going about 75.
  24. Great point on that strike-shortened season. It would also cause more pause on players resting during the regular season because each game would be more valuable.
