  1. Carlisle and health are worth more than 5 games.
  2. I think we get laughed out of the room if we try to move Sabonis for essentially two top picks. I think GSW would love to have him and he would potentially be a great fit at the 5 for them, but I can't see them overpaying for him. I'm also not of the mindset that we should move Sabonis for guys who are a few years away. We need a number one option...
  3. What are we moving to get last year's number two pick that looked good when healthy?
  4. Yeah, the Pacers current starting lineup has 4 guys that fall into the second to third option on a good team, plus Turner who is a good rim protector at the 5. We need that number 1 option badly.
  5. I'm not sure anyone in the East beats a healthy Brooklyn. That's not just a Pacers problem, it's just hard to get a team with three guys like they have.
  6. Looking at trade machine for what you through out @BGleas... You could do Pacers send Sabonis, Lamb and the 13th pick to Cleveland for Sexton and Love. With Love and Turner both having injury issues, I think you'd be playing them one at a time more than together. There would obviously be exceptions, but I wouldn't think they'd both be playing 30+ minutes per game very often.
  7. I agree, I prefer to keep Sabonis but if you have to move him to get that piece then it's what you do. I would love to get Sexton! I think he is the type of guard that can come in have a Donovan Mitchell like impact in the playoffs, which the Pacers desperately need. Teams that make deep runs have that guy who can go get 40 in a big game, and to me that's the biggest thing the Pacers are missing.
  8. He's projected to go 5-10, his stock is rising.
  9. I'd love to package our pick and either Turner or Sabonis to GSW, then move Warren to the 4, CL to the 3, Brogdon to 2, and draft Davion Mitchell.
  10. But if that's going to really be an issue, it kind of says a lot about how the Colvins parent doesn't it? Didn't you grow up in an IU family?
  11. I mean... GBI isn't exactly known as a rational site. I understand you aren't used to very many legacy recruits but it's far from a given that just because someone is a legacy they will pick Purdue.
  12. Got it. Frankly, the way you're talking about him as a lock I'd have expected it to be based on more than that.
  13. Do you think this for any reason other than his dad playing at Purdue?
  14. And apologies for initially missing the more important thing here, but you got this man!
  15. Fair enough. I couldn't pretend to know what they're dealing with, but I don't personally know anyone who wasn't dealing with a lot at that particular time. I can't imagine going through Covid and not being able to see immediate family like those kids couldn't.
  16. From my time watching the Mavs, I would be pretty cautious wanting to coach Luka. He's very ball dominant, a bit of a diva on the court, and I'm honestly not sure how much better he makes others. He's still very young and on his way to a Hall of Fame career and will likely win at least one title, I'm just saying despite being perhaps the most talented of the young stars in the league I'm not sure that he'd be the first one I would pick for my team.
  17. I don't have any idea what any of those kids have gone through on a personal level. Do any of us?
  18. You won't jump on the bandwagon that we all face different challenges? I guess I'm just genuinely confused right now.
  19. He is a good second best player on a contender IMO.
  20. Nor did I say you posted an opinion. I'm not sure I posted any more of an opinion than you did, though.
  21. Sure, but they have plenty of other stuff to deal with. Everyone has to deal with different challenges, why do we need to say that things are bad for Joe just because they were (maybe) worse for Jim? Pointing that out, regardless of it is true, doesn't make Joe's hardships any easier.
  22. 100%. Leaking it is really bad for whoever did that, IMO. But think about what these kids (or I guess middle aged men since it's Wisconsin seniors) were going through when this happened. We can say how easy these kids have had it, but I didn't deal with Covid and not being able to see my friends and family for however many months it had been at that point when I was 21 or 22 years old. That's really tough, especially at that point in life.
  23. It's honestly impressive they pushed the Clippers like they did the past two postseasons.
