One thing I am curious about, if Howard felt threatened why did he backup then fight back through players to swing at Gard. If you felt threatened just keep backing up and nothing happens.

Yeah he stopped him, but I doubt it is the first time one coach has stopped another to have a conversation. One thing I do know though is, usually a melee doesn't break out because of it. Howards anger issues are becoming a problem for Michigan since this isn't his first time. I could see Gard getting one game and Howards career possibly over at Michigan.

With the optics of this I could see Gard getting a 1 game suspension, I would be surprised if he got more than that though.

Keep watching this after he hits Gard, he goes after someone else. His days in Ann Arbor could be over.

Howard is an adult leading young man. He needs to have a cooler head than what he does. Because of his anger his players followed his lead and started throwing punches, they will be suspended because of his anger.

Probably not, but Howard just breezed on by him, Gard was trying to talk to him. Howard throwing a slap/punch is inexcusable.

Look at the video, when he pulls his hand back it is in a fist. It was kind of a punch/ slap combo lol. Ok after watching the video above it was more of a slap lol. Which while weak the intent isn't much different.

I think you are right about suspensions on both sides, but I would be surprised if Gard is. He stopped Howard but it wasn't anything aggressive.
