  1. If anyone just has too many stars, i'm open to taking one off your hands
  2. So 20% of "The Movement"....so "The...." gets the credit Ok, back to Flanders
  3. That's what it generally looks like at first until games start and we find players that breakout of the gate with good games and were overlooked.
  4. Same here. Not sure I can think of a trade I have made where I didn't regret it later.
  5. If it makes you feel any better, i got achane because yahoo gave him to me when i timed out. Every time I was going to take a TE, someone beat me to him. Was going to take Kelce in the first round and was 2 picks too late. Then had a few other TEs in my queue and without fail someone took them before it was my pick. Now i just have to hope goedert is past his injury woes.
  6. I am optimistic about this season. I just don't see why some don't want to see that having doubts about our outside shooting is a legitimate concern.
  7. It is too small a sample size to say he is a threat. No one is going to guard someone that is highly unlikely to shoot as well. So that would be reason #2 to sag off MR if he is standing outside the arc
  8. That was my point. If he is a 25% shooter, why would anyone bother guarding him? If he is improving this offseason then great because it will help a lot.
  9. he would have to shoot at a higher percentage for defenses to consider him a threat and that is all that matters.
  10. MR was 2/8 from 3pt range (25%). Hardly the deep threat. But good job trying to cherry pick stats. Unicorns and rainbows comment was just in reference to all the articles over the years that have a tendency to overhype players during the offseason.
  11. My main point was Goodman's viewpoint wasn't all that unreasonable. Hopefully MR's shooting has improved but I have long ago learned not to count my chickens before they hatch when it comes to improvement during the offseason. Offseason is always the time for articles shooting rainbows and unicorns about how awesome the team/players are looking to stoke excitement. Been an IU football fan too long to not take salt with my sporting news.
  12. 2 good shooters (XJ, TG), 2 hopefully alright shooters (MM, KW) and not an outside threat at all (MR) does not equate to all of them being able to shoot from outside..at least Last year XJ only attempted 2.5 3s per game. TG attempted less than 2 3s per game. Lets not act like they were doing a lot of damage from behind the arc. The year before XJ was slightly under 3 attempts per game and TG was slightly over 1 attempt per game.
  13. what 5 guys are we going to have that will be good from outside? I know that XJ was hurt but his strength was his suffocating defense and driving to the hoop more than outside shooting. This year, we have XJ, TG and some unknowns that we are just hoping for improvement. TG upped his outside shooting but his volume was too low. It's hopes and dreams if you're expecting all of the starting bigs to be threats from outside. Mgbako and possibly Ware could be decent outside shots but that would still be banking on improvement from last year (in Ware's case). I highly doubt Reneau will be hurting anyone from outside and Sparks definitely won't (but he will likely come off the bench).
  14. Maybe it's just how the dice rolled with who was willing to come here but Woodson has had the opportunity to bring in more guards/shooting and he hasn't really done that. We brought in a lot of bigs instead and again will likely be tailoring our offense to that fact. I like Woodson and glad that he is fitting our offense/defense based on the cards that he was dealt (and has dealt himself) but he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to get to that 4 out 1 in with lots of good shooters.
  15. I think shooting and guard play is a valid concern. Most of our talent is concentrated in our bigs. I don't think his comments were that unreasonable. We all hope every player improves their outside shooting among other things but I would guess that won't be our strength.
  16. How much NIL does Rutgers have to pull the top 2 players? That is crazy
  17. 240lbs going into his junior year. Must live in the weight room.
  18. Depends on other options but I would add him over just leaving the scholarship empty, especially with Newton's injury.
  19. It's a song..You're so vain, you probably thought this song was about you https://youtu.be/mQZmCJUSC6g
  20. Is that because he is that awesome at recruiting or because he had success off Duke's name? He will need to be a good coach to keep it going. That name isn't going to be a magic bullet in recruiting if they don't keep winning.
  21. I would not be surprised if Edey is making more than last year but I'm curious what playing a game in canada has to do with it....is he being paid in canadian dollars or does pu have a large contingent of canadian fans donating to the cause?
