  1. CMW won't forget this experience. He'll learn from it. Randy Bennet is a nice guy and what kid wouldn't want to play for him but he's hardly and elite x's and o's guy. He's not a greater basketball mind than Mike Woodson so I believe the valleys he's experienced in year one will fire him up and next year we'll be mean.

  2.

7 times out of 10 with all things equal we beat this team we're playing. Even with Kopp and Stewarts consistently piss poor offensive contributions. The bright is we'll never be able to tell whether Kopp is tired or not because he can't guard anyone fresh. Stewart at some point will put someone on the line for a 4 point play.

Can the two cheerleaders sub in for those two.

I really think advancing in the tourney will come down to if Kopp and Stewart can hit a few outside shots to loosen up the D on TJD.

Two 3's a piece and a combined 15 points with our standard brand of defense and we will beat them. Tonight is Kopp's night. St. Mary's rotation has numerous players that Kopp can match athletically and stay in front of defensively.

I don't think they are anything close to soft...... This will be a tough game. As a former coach, I emphatically told my players before every game.....  "Respect your competition!"

They'll have to be a level of physical against us that they haven't been required to be throughout the year......that's less derogatory than "they're soft."

  5. For any of the boxing fans out there, that was like boxing John Ruiz. That team's offense was brutal to watch and kept us from getting into any kind of a flow.

Stewart might lead the nation in giving up potential four-point plays.

It was the first game I've watched that Galloway played poorly.

Geronimo was our difference maker. You have to expect your star to give you big numbers but getting that effort from Geronimo was certainly the difference maker.

Ike reminded me a lot of a poor mans Zeebo Randolph.

I feel pretty confident as long as St. Mary's doesn't shoot the lights we'll beat them.

  6. I love it when a player can change my opinion in a positive way. Xavier Johnson has definitely done that this year. He looks like a player at the end of the year that figured out how to get his game to mesh with the  offense in a way that has made our team more competitive. I would once like to see the line-up of Rob, XJ, Galloway, Race and TJD start the game and the second half and see how we looked.

He has taken over the role of number two option and we've been better for it.

  7. Just hoping that the let downs of that a55 bending loss and the seeding don't have a psychological affect. St. Mary's is always an Australian Jr. National team loosely translated to soft but they can get hot and beat anyone.

I think the Big Ten will rebound from the disappointment of last season.

I'm taking Duke for the storybook ending for Coach K.

  8. I think day three of playing their a55 off may have been a reason they looked a step slower on perimeter defense.

To comment on the XJ draft talk: If we were to win 3 games in the tourney with him playing like he has the last 6 games he could slip into the second round.

They provide nothing if not hitting shots. It’s unbelievable how many awful games they have compared to good ones. Even more unbelievable is their continuous green light even if starting a game 0-8+

Kopp, I had zero expectations for and was surprised he won a starting role. Stewart, I thought, would be a 14+/g contributor and has been disappointing.

I've tried to wrap my mind around the purpose for having them in the starting line-up and all I can come up with is that CMW understands our money line-up is Rob and Galloway in the game in place of them and just HOPES he can get something out of them early. Other than that I wish both of them well in their life endeavors but hope this is the only season they are in cream and crimson.

    WE DANCIN BABY!

I'm work on the phone with an insurance guy. I have the espn clicker on one monitor and the Insurance guy is giving me play by play of the last 2 mins....and he's a UK fan........

I"m going home and watching the replay on BTN.

I felt like we needed 20 wins to get in with the sub .500 record in conference. We're good now. I'm glad they proved me wrong.

I'd like to get Rutgers again and the rubber match with PU to win the tournament.
