  1. I went with the wrong Martinez, I never ever would have guessed that. Great question
  2. 11 years ago our great friend @milehiiuencouraged me to start a post wishing Ayden a Happy 3rd birthday. The significance was that we were told by the Cleveland Clinic that he would not live to see 3. I have thanked HSN so many times for allowing me to do this. Every year since then I put on a birthday post for him. For his 3rd birthday Mile also made Ayden the official Mascot of HSN. HSN and our family have been connected for a long time. The thought of losing a child can put a person in a very dark place and sometimes having someone to just talk to adds a lot of light to that place. For me Mile and so many others on here were that light that I needed. This place was my therapy and a place that I could share my fears, my worries, my prayer concerns but also with each passing day my happiness, my praise and all the amazing things that Ayden was doing that we were told either he would not be here to do or physically able to do. One of my big regrets is that I did not make it to Colorado to see my good friend and introduce him to my HERO!! On September 4th Ayden will be 14 years old and I just cannot believe it. Happy Birthday Ayden I love you with all of my heart and soul. You are the reason that i strive everyday to be a better person. You inspire me to try and live each day to the fullest. To never give up to look at obstacles as opportunities. You are a reason to praise GOD and to share your story so others can be encouraged. As a kid my heroes wore capes and baseball uniforms, or walked the sideline of Assembly Hall. For the past 14 years my HERO has lived under my roof, calls me DAD and has done more in his life already than I ever will. Thank you Ayden I love you and Happy Birthday. Thank you so much Mod team and all the posters of HSN. I know that this is a message board about sports but here it is different. This is family, this is community and we have a common love for Indiana University that binds it all together. I am grateful for being a part of this, for what @Colonialcrester started so long ago and you guys have continued. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
  3. Thank you very much and I hate to say it but it's just another Thursday to him. I am glad it does not bother him but I hate that he is so used to it
  4. He would love that. I will show him. Wonder if Junior wore those as a throw back We been at ER with him all day. Stomach bug had his seriously dehydrated had to get some fluids in him
  5. I did not take it that way. I took it if Woodson not at IU no chance. I still LOVE our position as of this moment
  6. His travel team was from all over the state but when he either played rec ball or some tournaments with non travel teams from 46 at 10 and 11 not sure it he gave up any hits to be honest. Hit several and walked a few though
  7. His accuracy is my only concern early on. Have to get off to a great start
  8. This is the best comparison I can think of. So much speed on both sides of the ball. We need Carr to become Edge or Joseph now
  9. Yes for sure. For hitters even those few extra feet give you a chance at making contact on great pitching. My son was a really good pitcher at 50' and 60' 6" but when he was pitching 46' he was almost unhittable.
  10. Exactly. In comparison Freeney and Mathis would probably have been great anywhere but when Peyton gave them the lead look out they became next level. I expect us to get up early on most teams and let the Defense have fun!!
  11. Routine grounders become close plays at 1st at that distance
  12. To play devil's advocate coming up these guys pitch year around. Many of the guys we watched we too busy playing basketball and football to throw year round. Guys now throw more coming up. At the end of the day they are just.more valuable in terms of contracts, that why I leave my Lamborghini in the garage and only drive it in perfect weather. I would love to drive it every where as fast as possible to show it off. I was a teacher for 20 years In reality I could not afford 4 tires on a Lamborghini
  13. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/09/01/us/oregon-schools-superintendent-fired-mask-mandate/index.html An example of following the rules and uninformed people do what they want. another reason why I have always wondered why people that have never been in the classroom are on school board. Ours is a bunch of farmers worried about high taxes.in public schools the kids are last on the list when it comes to decision making. It would like me making decisions for a construction company and having no clue on how to build anything but doing all the hiring and firing
  14. I think so. At least what I have heard.
  15. I just have a good feeling about this one. I feel we dominate this game and open the eyes of the rest of college football that might still be sleeping on the Hoosiers.
  16. Mussina is only 1 I can think of that might be close but not sure he got to a 100 with the Yanks. Outside of him no one comes to mind. Great question
  17. I bet Pedro Martinez is on that list. I need to think about this I feel there are some obvious ones
  18. For our beloved Yankee fan, The Bronx Bombers stopped their losing streak and Cole fans 15 in 7 innings. That is crazy good
  19. Nick Castellanos is the 1st Red to ever have 6 RBI after by the end of the 2nd inning.
  20. Ryan, Randy Johnson, Maddux and maybe Seaver
  21. 3-3 bottom of the 3rd Miley with 2 RBI
  22. There's a good chance I would know him
