Anyone that has coached and gone through the handshake understands what goes on their. What Gard did common place. I had a 60 something year old man been coaching about 40 years shake my hand and hold on to it and everyone in the building thought he was inviting me over for Sunday supper and when in reality he said ifnyou ever try to run the score up on me again I will personally F you up. I politely patted him on the back said like you did last year on us and I told you I wouldn't forget. At no point did I need to punch this man for being in my space.

Garden looked pretty good after the game so the 6 10 tough guy did nothing but look like a horses ass. There's more contact trying to get a drink at the bar than what Gard did, hardly assault.

If what happened was threatening and putting hands on someone inappropriately then I would have constantly been fighting.

Looks to me that after Gard grabs Howard's arm Howard get a hand full of Gards shirt balled up in a fist. I just dont see how anyone that is not looking to do anything other than find something to argue about could think what Gard did was aggressive. I can't stand Wisconsin but come on man

It's clear you see this so much differently than almost everyone else so I will just save my words. This happens quite a bit in coaching but most rational thinking human beings don't resort to throwing punches.

I have had many hand shakes with coaches when one of us wanted to discuss a situation and what Gard did was not in the least bit aggressive and if Howard threatened by that how the hell did he play in the NBA.

If that is aggressive and Gard physically stopped 6ft 10 Howard then I have nothing for you guys. If a coach cannot control himself any better than that he has no business in the profession

Did he put his hands on him in a threatening manner. You are a D1 coach and you can't handle that without wanting to fight. That speaks volumes to character

She and Jeff were close friends

Part of being pro athlete is taking care of your body and outside of injuries I think that has been a huge issue.

Knight was in the gym at North Decatur many years ago. When the game was over the AD had the maintenance guy cut out that piece of bleacher and then had Cisco sign it a couple years later. To almost all high school coaches in Indiana Knight waa a huge deal and when he showed up it was special
