Sorry, Bates bad shot selection almost immediately every time he comes in doesn’t jive with this take imo.

I appreciate you trying to find the silver lining but those losses were against ranked opponents on the road. Not a spanking at home against an unranked team you blew a 20 point lead against earlier in the year.

I may be one of the biggest supporters of Race needs to play less, much less, and not start, but even from my couch I don’t boo. It’s usually just “Noooo Race….” If students or other fans were booing in house, shame on them.

Not disputing that, though he didn’t get much run in the 2nd half either. But the fact is the middle was clogged with Race at the high post and we stopped going to TJD in the high post. Race didn’t give us much of anything either and was getting used up as well on D. The threat of Bate’s shooting would have unclogged the middle, and if it didn’t, you surround your All American center with your 4 best, 3 point shooters.

Exactly, and Race was getting abused on D as well. When Minny went small, the lineup I’ve been clamoring for should have been used. TJD, JHS, Bates, Galloway, and Kopp at the 4.
