  1. I know the Knicks and Bulls suck....but to win those road games, come home and beat Celtics in that fashion all the while Victor has been horribly sick all week....pretty impressive even if it is 1 of 82. Nice week for the Pacers. How many game winning shots is that now for Vic? Guy is clutch at $ time.
  2. Sabonis and Oladipo for Paul George. Hahahahaha.....still remember the rip fest some of us took when on the day of the trade in one of these threads a few of us said the Pacers got the better end of the deal.
  3. And I'm sure the agents who are being asked that question today already have the data that supports college over G League. So many kids become household names and ultimately get drafted because of the exposure they get on a national level at major programs. I'll give 2 examples that I think are good ones. Our very own OG. If he's at a smaller school does he get noticed the way he did at IU? No way. Even with the injury he's set for life...and besides his athletic ability and game...his exposure at IU got him noticed. Another example I'll use is Sam Dekker. Great player no doubt...but until he was on the big stage playing in Final 4 I don't think he was a certain 1st round pick. His exposure and performance in March got him drafted.
  4. To quote what Rabby tweeted today. He asked an agent G League or High Major College....Agent said College every single time. G League will serve it's purpose for some and I'm glad they are actually increasing the $ for the guys...but for high level talent guys who have a chance to be drafted they'll continue to go to college. The exposure alone is so much greater.
  5. Wouldn't mind a Houston meltdown and they clean house and we trade for Eric Gordon. I like the Pacers and I think adding Tyreke will help the falloff when Vic goes to bench but come playoff time....I sure would like to add another pure 3 point shooter.
  6. Maybe it's just me but I feel like for the last 2 days all I keep hearing about is the Bucks. It's like someone passed out the same note to Indy media and said Milwaukee will be the big surprise this year. To me it's the Celtics and Pacers/Raptors/76ers battling for 2-4. Regarding Troy...hopefully he'll find a new team soon. Sucks that he makes the team and is waived before opening night.
  7. Thanks for linking this! Not sure I how missed this because I listen to Rome every day (instead of the blowhard on 1070 in Indy). Pretty cool for Yogi to be on Rome's show actually.
  8. He's already made about 25 GM's look like idiots. Yogi is a perfect NBA backup PG and has showed he can start too. Still shake my head at Pacers for not giving him a look before last year.
  9. Jock tax. And it adds up. Plenty of articles to google.
  10. Where's here? I'm in Hamilton County Indiana and pay less than 1%. Is Texas really high? Quick google search says 2%.
  11. Thanks for posting that. Now it makes sense. Good for him. His hard work deserves some life changing money. Not saying the $ he's earned already isn't worth it but now $3 Million net over the next 2 years invested wisely can set him up. Still won't have as much as his mom....but getting closer. Haha..
  12. I'll have to crunch the numbers at some point but to me the 2nd year in Dallas must not have been guaranteed. When you factor in 13.9% State Income Tax in California vs No State Income Tax in Texas...along with cost of living....I mean the net numbers might be $350k max. Must be something about Dallas 2nd year guarantees that scared him.
  13. Yogi seems to have changed his mind. No deal in Dallas. Something is certainly up...either he thinks he can get more $ or more playing time I guess.
  14. Same happened in different ways to Troy and Yogi. He'll keep working and find another team. Bryant will be a NBA player soon enough. Just not the path he thought.
  15. Shooters and winners. Brunson fits the mold. He feels like a better shooter version of Derek Fisher.
  16. Thank you for this. Always was curious.
  17. I'd love to know the differences between farm fresh and eggs from store. Besides color and lower cholesterol. When we owned a condo at Eagle Pointe I'd go have beers at Fairfax Inn around the corner. This guy would come in every Friday and sell farm fresh eggs. $1 a dozen. Best deal going.
  18. I'll gladly participate. But for spreadsheet purposes can I start at my January 1 weight of 193.8 instead of current (this morning) of 179.3? Haha...just kidding. I always welcome ideas/thoughts/tips for healthy living/weight loss.
  19. Went to work on Wall St after IU for 2 years. Moved back to Indy at 23. 14-16 hour days of non stop on the go eating, drinking, lifestyle makes you gain about 5-10 lbs per year. Next thing you know you wake up and your 31 and boom...you weigh 230. Me eating healthy was a sub from Marsh which consists of some of the most unhealthy meats/cheeses/breads in the world. I did Eggs, veggies, chicken, cottage cheese, turkey bacon, asparagus, any meat....basically ate the same meals for a year. I won't ever go back to that 20 something world again diet wise.
  20. Just like with most things. It takes a supportive cast or friend or workout buddy. Going it alone is tough. I compared it to when my wife was prepping for bar exam. She basically told me I'll see you in a few months. I did the same. Morning workout. At work for 10-11 hour day. Come home. Workout. Maybe an hour of meal prep and relax....and do the same thing over and over again for months.
  21. About 10 years ago I reached an all time weight wise of 230 range (I'm 5'10). Went carb free with 2 workouts per day for a year. No booze, no smokes,etc...and went down to 154 lbs. Eggs were a VITAL part to my year. The nutrition folks can say all they want. Eggs are good for you and help you lose weight as well. I think the extra 76 lbs I was carrying was far more dangerous than having an extra 12-18 eggs per week.
  22. Lebron 0-6 in finals without Wade or Kyrie. I've said the following for 10+ years. Dan Gilbert should be ashamed of himself and owes an apology to Lebron and Cleveland for what he made Lebron try to win it all with first go around until he left for Miami. Lebron has earned every right to pick and choose where he wants to play and try to win a title. 1 title in what?? 11 or 12 years there? Don't be surprised if he ends up back in Miami. At least there Riley is smart enough to know the help he needs to beat a Golden St team is stacked. Although Miami will have to unload a ton of players before anything like that happened.
  23. I just need this thing to go to 5 games. I'm in Vegas on Sunday night until Tuesday night. I want to be able to get my bet in on the over for game 5 and more than likely the cover too.
  24. My Dad was a big Celtics fan so I naturally chose the Lakers to cheer for. I'll have to do some thinking on this one. Golden St is so good and this isn't a slight at all to them....just need to think what Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Green, Rambis(he and Draymond would be fun to watch) would do and how they would attack. Low post game Lakers would win hands down. Run and gun/Showtime....tough to think how it would play out.
