  1. I've been trying to find a comparable player and I just can't. There have been dead on shooters we've all watched but none like him with the quickness, the move and still be able to pull up and drain. Fun exercise actually...trying to think of anyone close.
  2. That Curry 2nd half will go down in NBA history....as it should. Houston has to feel like Pacers, Knicks or anyone else who went up against Jordan in the East. If they couldn't beat Warriors without Durant when will they?
  3. Stephen A just floated this out there. Nothing off the table for Lakers including possibly trading Lebron since he didn't get the coach he wanted. I'm not a diehard but this is setting up as one of the biggest off seasons in years for NBA.
  4. Thanks. Was just curious. Obviously I would love it for the Pacers....and honestly just to make the offer would be a big step for a franchise that rarely makes a play in free agency.
  5. I keep seeing something about Klay and Pacers. Where did this come from? Actual news or did someone just float the idea?
  6. Lander, Furst I know are the big priorities in 2021 but one of our very own tweeted out this morning that Trey Kauffman could be one of the best if not the best in 2021 class. Seems like that 2002 title run had some benefits to in state hoops talent. Seems like it could be one of the best classes to come along in awhile. Is that fair to say?
  7. You can get free week trials with HBO for 7 days each time. Catch up on several great series including Thrones. Good thing about HBO is they only need a new email address each time you sign up. I'm on my 4th week of free (mostly for Thrones) but watched True Detectives and a few others as well. Just have to cancel on 7th day.
  8. I like Westbrook too. I've always liked guys with a bit of an edge to them. Started with Skiles continued with Rodman, Iverson....give me those guys all day long. I really don't have an explanation for it either because they can be some of the most hated guys when they played.
  9. Just a quick update on this post for those interested. The total was at 210 with 45 seconds to play. Ended at 224. Line was 5-5.5 for Warriors and they won by 6. It's circulating on twitter right now but somebody lost $110k when they took the under last night.
  10. Good to know and thank you. I'll still say given Foster's history with Rockets there wasn't someone else?
  11. I've long accepted brutal officiating as a Pacers fan during those series vs Knicks and Bulls during 90's. But the NBA couldn't assign anyone else? Haha...wish I was a gambler. The over and Warriors all day long...and I don't even know what the line is.
  12. Interesting tidbit for tonight's Rockets/Warriors game. After the calls in Game 1 caused issues the NBA assigns veteran official Scott Foster to the game. Reminder that Chris Paul, Harden, and Rockets have a long running feud with Foster. Harden was fined for criticizing Foster in February. Seriously NBA. You couldn't get anyone else??
  13. Admittedly once Pacers were eliminated I haven't watched as much NBA playoffs. I did catch a little of Denver/Portland game last night. It's not often that 2 former Mr. Indiana's are on the same team. With that said. Mr. Lyles looks like a guy who could care less about his team. Didn't play and wasn't even remotely engaged. Is this the norm for him in Denver? Mile-maybe you could help out with local talk?
  14. Just a general comment. Imagine being a GM or All Star during the Jordan years. Guys like Reggie, Patrick Ewing, Malone/Stockton, Barkley...all the other good to great teams like Pacers, Knicks, Suns, Seattle, Cavaliers,etc....never having a real chance to win a title because of Jordan. Feel the same way now as it relates to Golden St. We can spend all season long talking about our teams but as it stands no one is beating Warriors. It's going to take players in the off season to add 1 if not 2 all star type players to their teams to beat them. Just don't see how it's possible honestly. I love watching greatness perform. But when you go into a season knowing you have less than 5% chance of ultimate success the league becomes boring, right? Or am I looking at it the wrong way. Should I just sit back and cheer for the one team (West or East) that can somehow pull off the upset of all upsets by beating GSW 4x?
  15. Yep. Agree all day. And of course missing Vic 46 games isn't apples to apples as well. Just thought it was an interesting number.
  16. Thought this was an interesting information this morning in a tweet since George trade. Of course the Pacers played 46 games without Oladipo. Thunder: 97-67 regular season, 3-8 playoffs (4 seed, 6 seed) Pacers: 96-68 regular season, 3-8 playoffs (5 seed, 5 seed)
  17. There was a game back in the day we played called Acquire. We played in 8th or 9th grade when studying business, leveraged buyouts, finance,etc....we played that board game vs each other to learn. Great way to learn.
  18. To quote Mr. Prezbo from The Wire "trick them into thinking they aren't learning and they do". Regarding Delphi case they had a few former FBI types on local news last night and all agreed the strategy in play here is the right one. Gets people discussing again and given the passion of presser....it might force the suspect into making a mistake he hasn't made in 26 months.
  19. Yep. Along with iirc 4-5 other words that were misspelled and phrases used time and time again by him. Fascinating stuff.
  20. No clue but I can tell you this. When I went from 235 with longer hair to 154 and shorter hair in one year I looked like two different people. Just a theory but if the criminal is as smart as he thinks he is....maybe weight loss, change of hair, appearance....is his way of thinking he's smarter. One big fear I have is that this person could be very, very close to the investigation. Not saying anyone involved in case but when someone gets away with it for this long it means they more times than not have a very good understanding of how cases work, mistakes not to make,etc....
  21. Yep. And if people are interested watch the Unabomber case on Netflix I believe. It dives into the forensics for language or writing styles. It's ultimately how they tracked him down because of words he used because the editor of the Chicago Tribune used them back in the 50's and 60's. Might be boring to some....but absolutely fascinating to me.
  22. Exactly. The strategy is perfect. Now it's up the person to make a mistake....because they always do. Usually it's arrogance on getting away with it for so long. They'll slip up and tactics like the presser yesterday are usually used to do just that.
  23. To me calling the person out is a tactic that usually works. If they suggest they might have spoken with them or someone close to them and all of a sudden someone disappears or leaves their normal pattern (or area) it's usually a tell and an easy for police to follow. If the person of interest all of sudden changes their normal routine after 2 years they can start narrowing things down. To me anything we can do to keep this case on peoples minds is a win. With the new sketch my guess is they've probably received 100's of it looks like this guy since Noon. Hopefully it works.
  24. They just setup the presser. Photos of girls and one that is covered. I'd imagine the one that is covered has to be a photo of someone or person of interest.
  25. Yep. Hope so! Has to be something along those lines because if someone hasn't talked yet they aren't talking so forensics has to be the answer to solve this one.
