  1. Wow. Indy's very own Nino Brown. I've followed and known this case for years. Grundy has skated and walked so much. Probably best not to be on this jury. Some odd things have happened to every single jury he's been involved with.
  2. I think he's very underrated. Saw him play some of the best teams in Indy area last year or two and he was putting up 20/30 games from all areas on court routinely. To me he fits the same mold as guys like Leal, Galloway,etc.....very good 3-4 year players.
  3. Just a general comment. One thing I applaud Silver and NBA for doing is it's becoming a year round discussion. Here we are with teams reporting in NFL today, MLB trade deadline and final 2 months upon us.....and people still discussing NBA on the daily. I think they need to clean up the free agency rules, tampering,etc....but purely from discussion standpoint they've made it year round. Hard to do in any sport.
  4. I know most criminals will try to change their appearance in some way....which of course in a rural area or town would be a tell to the locals and perhaps make people more suspicious. When I saw the article come out I looked at his photo and I'm just not seeing it. Hope they eventually solve this one.
  5. I don't think it's something where anyone is hitting panic button but the more offers that go out for the same type of kid....it does make you think twice. I like it by the way. We have to get old and stay old (Beilein approach) and this 2020 class has 2-3 guys with 3 years written all over them if not 4 years. Was watching some old games last night on Youtube. The 02 throttling of Bill Self top 10 Illini team was beautiful. You had 3-4 year guys in Fife, Hornsby, Moye, Coverdale, Odle, Newton...peppered with Jeffries. All good size and can shoot. That's what I think this 2020 class has to be. 3 guys who will play minutes right away but also who will be around for a few years. Lay the foundation there and in 2021 you can pepper the OAD guys.
  6. I've brought it up and been criticized but Archie offered the in state kids....gave them ample time to say yes. They haven't. Eventually it's time to go.
  7. When I saw that pop up last night I'm like you have to be kidding me. No pun. Has a kid last week yet the 2 year old refuses to get out of car so she said cool. With almost half the country experiencing high heat these next few days I hope we don't hear more stories about kids or pets being left in car or dead in car.....but sadly I know it's coming.
  8. I think Lebron is going to come out on a giant middle finger tour this year because so many chose not to play with him. After that I'll go Kawhi, AD, George.
  9. Yep. Looking back at it we kept our first dog alive probably 2 more years than we should have. Just couldn't put her down but probably should have so she could go to the endless running fields in the sky.
  10. Very Sorry to hear this. We rescued a mix terrier pit 2 years ago and he's become so important in our lives. Right now I don't think I would have the strength to take him to the clinic one last time. Glad you have another one!
  11. I'll just say this. I have no clue what the direction of OKC is besides gathering picks and more picks.Every team in the league places little to no value on picks but OKC has to have at least 12 picks first round picks now over next 5 years. I'll also add kudos to Houston for trying. This won't work or get them what they want but I applaud their GM for constantly trying.
  12. But there is a difference between average Joe and Bob Knight. I was hoping the "journalists" would choose being decent vs whatever code they think they have to live by.
  13. I'll reiterate what I said first thing this morning. Low brow move to publish his address. Indy Star guys running with it. Pretty pathetic in my opinion.
  14. I thought it was interesting that Kawhi chose a shorter contract and essentially makes him a free agent again in 2021 class along with George. Seems to me like they are willing to try in Clipper Land but if it doesn't hit during these next two seasons they'll be back at the free agency window again in short order. Maybe just waiting for Lebron to retire and move to Lakers in 2 seasons. Haha.
  15. Thanks for not publishing his address. Maybe you could text a few of your comrades and ask them why in the world they thought this was a good idea.
  16. Never been a fan of Chicago Deep Dish. Even being from there could never get the fascination with eating baked lasagna in the form of a pizza. I like thin crust. Where I can actually taste the meats, veggies,etc....instead of just pounds of sauce and cheese.
  17. Brogdon presser going on right now for Pacers intro. Really going to like this guy. His philanthropy, he acknowledged wanting to play for our coach and with leader of team Vic. One thing that struck me was that Pritchard specifically said this deal doesn't get done without Herb Simon. Mentioned he called Milwaukee owner himself. Not sure what to make of that. Hopefully one of the reporters asks him to explain.
  18. After a week having let's just say holiday fun I'll be looking to dry out this week. Just reserved Central Park Five and Prohibition from the library. Will give them a watch this week.
  19. Most of the articles I read this morning suggest the Heat but the one I read that made the most sense was with Minnesota. Basically sending Wiggins to OKC.
  20. One word I want officially retired from all platforms at ESPN and other talking heads. "Sources" Every single sports journalist in America was dead wrong. Not one had an inkling this was going to happen. In fact my guess is Jerry West somehow let it be leaked that Raptors or Lakers stuff was solid to provide a smokescreen for the deal. No clue where this trade ends up historically but this has a Herschel Walker feel to it.
  21. One other thing I'll add. Amazing how badly Kawhi said he wanted to play with PG. Did Bird or anyone at the Pacers know this?
  22. I'm still in awe of how well Jerry West executed this. I don't care about the Clippers or Kawhi or PG at all but this was brilliant. Reminds of how well Sampson executed the Eric Gordon stuff. Waited to the last minute so Bubbles thought he still had a chance and flipped. Weber didn't have time to recover and essentially ended his time at Illinois.
  23. This is going to be funny when people start connecting the dots. Paul George used to date Doc Rivers daughter. He cheated on her with a stripper in Miami. Think they've already discussed before because I'm assuming some reporter will ask about it.
  24. If I'm OKC this morning I have to figure out the direction of the franchise. Do they try and start over with so many picks like Boston did? Try to get rid of Westbrook and just do a major rebuild??
