  1. Guess I didn't see this but Thomas Bryant left game the other night. Stress reaction in right foot. Down for at least 3 weeks. Hopefully minor but I recall him basically living in a walking boot during his time at IU.
  2. Thanks....and again this is my less than average NBA brain talking about Milwaukee seems above everyone but after that? Get Vic healthy and see what we have. Adding an All Star to a good team halfway into a season might be the extra we need to host playoff series this year. Pacers need to take the next step this season.
  3. I cheer for the Pacers but admittedly this time of year I have my sports resources in football and college hoops. Is Pacers 12-6 record product of schedule or good play? Looking forward to seeing what this team can do when everyone is healthy.
  4. Injuries and other stuff can always happen but he's a fan favorite because he plays very hard and produces, great teammate and only 22 years old. I'm not a NBA guy in terms of projection...but I don't see any reason at all why he won't have a 10+ year career and when it's all said and done he'll have earned 9 figures plus. He'll only be 25 when he enters unrestricted free agent contract....that's when he'll get the big one if things stay the same.
  5. 5th double double of the year last night for Thomas Bryant. 21 points and 11 boards and a team high +21 when on the court.
  6. Just hoping when Fox returns they find some minutes for him still. When he was on the court last night Kings were +9.
  7. Just checked his box score. Shocking how that worked out for them....and they won too?!?
  8. Thought I would fire this one back up again. Indy breaks 108 year old record for coldest temps. Sunny and 61 Sunday to feels like temps of around 0. Just a normal 36 hours in the 317.
  9. Obligatory weekly post/rant. Sacramento Kings-where former All Big 10 and All Americans go sit on the bench.
  10. Reason 455 why I don't gamble. Pacers on back end of back to back night games down about 5 guys and of course they win convincingly. I had to laugh with gambling legal in Indiana 1260 is running promo ads all the time. I think Schultz even said yesterday not a bad day to put some money down on the Wizards. Haha.
  11. Romeo being assigned to G League Celtics team (Red Claws). Probably to get some reps would be my guess. Not sure if this is normal or just normal for player recovering from injury.
  12. I've never minded that...of course I don't mind a little talk or showmanship. I mean Bird and Jordan are probably the two greatest trash talkers ever to take the court.
  13. Definitely a fair question. Zeke played 13 years. Stockton I think 18 or 19. Iverson 15 or so. Of course Curry makes in 1 year with on/off court earnings than Stockton made in his entire career. If the body is breaking down...along with the money these guys earn I could see Curry playing out his current contract to 2022 and calling it a day.
  14. For you NBA fans 3-4 games in. Trae Young just went down bad. No weight on right leg.
  15. Not fantasy but a pickem league we start in January. Pick one golfer can't use same person twice over course of season. We do high score for year, high score majors combined, and a few other little payouts. One of the most difficult pools of each year I'm in because the difference between success and 8th place is about 1 7 footer each day.
  16. Followed TigerTracker most of the day. Pretty unreal actually.....Tiger usually doesn't save a round to that level. He saves it to E or -1 but to get to -6?? Draining putts all over.
  17. Sounds funny but the team down the road from Yogi would be ideal. GSW might be looking for a backup point who can push the pace and create shots for others with dribble penetration. Maybe Suns....and Lord knows Orlando needs a PG of some kind.
  18. Do not and will not understand....especially when down 30 to a bad team. Get his additional $3M this year and find a place next year where he might play because if he isn't seeing minutes in a 30 point blowout loss to Suns. When will he?
  19. All day long which is why it puzzles me that players or their agents can't see that. We see it. The whole world sees it yet the player can't. Never will understand that one.
  20. Quick update from Twitter. Not the best comments coming from Sabonis. I'm paraphrasing but basically he just said I now know how the Pacers really feel about me and I let them know what I thought of that. His agent will handle the rest. Not good.
  21. If an extension isn't likely you have to go down this path. Probably not the path anyone wants to go but necessary. I would think Sabonis could be worth a top 10 pick next year along with another player. Of course I'm not dialed in to NBA trade values as others. I'd love to have Sabonis work here in Indy because he's really good but if Pritchard thinks there isn't chance of a deal he'll need to get the most talent he can in return.
  22. Yogi with an easy 24 points and 6 assists last night. Really hope Sacramento gives him more minutes this year. Not sure what else he needs to do to get more.
  23. To answer original question for me it's actually any leftover meat. I try to eat mostly carb free so with that comes plenty of meat. I think sometimes I should have been a mountain man like Jeremiah Johnson because I have no problem with my morning coffee grabbing a leftover turkey burger or chicken and eat that each morning. I guess that would qualify as nontraditional.
  24. You guys keep talking about fried chicken....going to make me head to my favorite place in Indy. Soul food restaurant at 19th and College. Kountry Kitchen. During football season I try to eat extremely healthy Monday-Thursday because of the damage I do the other 3 days but I might have to make an exception soon.
  25. Despite the amount of truth or halftruths or whatever Oprah got duped on. I really enjoyed Million Little Pieces. I don't read for enjoyment anymore. Probably should get back into it. I think in 2006/07 range I started with one Grisham novel and read about 20 of his. Always fun to read most of his stuff too.
