No doubt this game was a classic! I'm watching the Va. vs. Tenn. game with interest as there is a local kid on the Va. team as a reliever. His name is Zach Messinger and played HS ball for Castle.....

Well after tossing a no-hitter last week, Corey Kluber is going on the disabled list and could be gone for at least 2 months!! Sheeesh, can't these guys stay healthy???? 🙄

I didn't want to start a separate topic on this, but for those of you that have and can watch MeTV on your television, they Ed Sullivan show on Sunday nights. Last night must have been "baseball" night as they had Detroit's Denny McClain and the Cards, Bob Gibson. McClain played Girl From Ipanema on the organ, and later the two played a song together while Gibson played the guitar. Pretty cool. Here is a video: Also Ed introduced Babe Ruths widow, who was in attendance!

Yankees won today vs. the White Sox 5-4. Yanks had a 4-3 lead going in to the top of the 9th, but allowed the game tying run. In the bottom of the 9th, the guys in pinstripes won on a bases loaded walk off walk to sweep the White Sox.

But the Hoosiers need to take care of business.....

Yankees turned a rare triple play late in a game last night against the White Sox. Happened in the top of the 9th inning and they had runners on first and second, no thanks to Chapman. But the Yankees won the game in the bottom of the 9th with a walk-off base hit by Gleyber Torres 2-1! What a week, first the no-hitter by Kluber and now last nights game! Go Yanks

Can Schwarber come back and hit a little grand slam?? 🙄

I have a 13 year old grandson that plays on an all star team. His team had a tourney over this past weekend. My grandson was playing 3rd base and the runner on 2nd barreled in to him, snapping my grandsons neck around! The runner was trying to dislodge the ball and, rightfully, was called out. So I guess BS plays happens in all levels of baseball..... Forgot to mention, my grandsons team won the tourney, scoring over 50 runs in 4 games...
