Can you believe there are still those that think this is overblown.  Yes, we lost a lot with swine flu or H1N1, but did we lose them nearly this fast?

It is nice to see how some local leaders have stepped up, our KY gov has done a great job on this so far.  But we still have to remind the Louisville mayor he is in charge of the CITY, as we still have large gathering 'parties' in some city parks.

Just venting as it feels like I haven't spoken to anyone but my wife in weeks. And I suspect she is plotting a hostile takeover

Did you also see where a legislator in the Ky government is bringing up a bill that anyone or business can sue the governor because of the closures of various businesses?

I'm starting to think the daily pressers are doing more harm than good.  We will likely have a mental health crisis over this and throwing out predictions like the "experts" are, which are just educated guesses anyway, is just scaring people further.

A weekly press release, or presidential address from the oval office should be enough.

But you know what the other side would say if he did the pressers weekly right?

I guess I'm different, but I watch them to be more informed..... Now the daily Governors pressers, that's different. Where I live, we get Kaintucky, Indiana, plus Illannoy for crying' out loud.....

I use to spend 2 1/2 hours mowing my lawn...then I met Tammy.  She mows...I supervise.

You know what's funny? The wife and I have been married, soon to be 45 years. And she has never, ever started the mower.

Our agreement is she takes care of the inside and I take care of the outside. Seems to work pretty well.....

Don't like what I am seeing here.  Who is going to even be honest? This is going too far IMO.  We have really come to the seizure of personal property?

Executive order from the governor of Colorado-

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Sp3le5zUavA3GKM_omeDXpm7FNfL-wSt/view

"I request that any Colorado business or non-hospital health care facility, whether
veterinary, dental, construction, research, institution of higher learning, or other,
in possession of PPE, ventilators, respirators and anesthesia machines that are not
required for the provision of critical health care services undertake an inventory of
such supplies by no later than March 26th, 2020 and prepare to send it to the State
of Colorado. I direct the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to allocate any
supplies received pursuant to this order to support activities related to the
    COVID-19 response."

Look what my wife found today!!! With the stock market going crazy, we could be sitting on a Gold Mine!!! BTW, there's 20 of them in the box. Don't know how long we've had these as they were stored in our garage for who know how long.....

It’s infuriating that these heroes in out country still can’t get the protective gear they need. Yesterday one of my friends who’s a nurse said that she came to the realization that when all is said and done she thinks a few of her colleagues will die.

4,000 respirators are sitting in a warehouse in NYC. Gov. Cuomo, when asked about it, responded by saying they weren't needed yet!

    Go figure.....

I find out tomorrow if the department is sending me to Lilly to get tested.  Found out yesterday that a patient we went on at a Wal-Mart 11 days ago tested positive.  I've shown no symptoms and my medic did most of the patient contact work but I was within 6 feet and doing the questioning.  Came out as unconscious person, to find patient sitting up drinking juice, first thought is dibetic until she says flu like symptoms for 3-5 days with cough.  Boom, put a mask on her.  So at least we had that going for us to limit exposure.

Hope all goes well for both you and your co-worker......

On a side note, my wife did get her stitches (14), removed yesterday by her doctor. Pretty nasty gash that will take several weeks to heal.

  7. Saw in my morning paper where the kid from Ohio that was on spring break in Miami has apologized for his "If I get corona, I get corona" comment he made last week.....,,.

Also see where Prince Charles has tested positive. Hope the Queen is alright

For those who work in the healthcare field particularly in physician offices are those deemed essential or are they closing them?

I don't know, but my wife will soon find out as she is supposed to have some stitches removed tomorrow... 😲

I work mostly in healthcare. I was told today to not expect pending invoices for at least 90 days from a few of our clients. Guess that's why rainy day funds were created. Hope everyone stays safe!

Heck, I might need a monsoon fund!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW: I wish they would have at least tested the waters a bit. Rivers pun intended

Does make you wonder doesn't it? Also, our morning paper had a Colts article from Jeff Doyel. He is saying the releases of Desir and Joe Haeg and keeping Brissett is like trying to understand the sport of Cricket...

    Real head scratchers for sure.

we were in need of some serious groceries. Just getting back from vacation we did not have much and then having my college son move home and all of us being there all the time I had to go. The only place where I found most of what we needed was Aldi. I believe that every item was reduced which was a nice touch.  A concern for many people is that we don't stockpile like our grandparents did and having the extra mouths there for all meals will cause a financial burden on many. Where we live many of the kids only get meals from the school which is so sad. OUr school like most are setting up areas to get meals to those families. My wife was asked to work it and get paid but the extra exposure is just not worth it.  Thankfully we were able to get what we needed

My wife pretty much does all of our grocery shopping at Aldi. You can save a lot of money there.....

  12. Looks like the virus may be having an effect? Since I'm supposed to stay home, I did some work yesterday in my yard. I am re-doing my neglected front yard landscaping. Started on the lawn equipment getting the mower and string trimmer ready. I use a lawn service to treat my yard and with all of the rain we've had so far, my grass is looking like it needs a good mowing. Then I dug up 4 bushes, 1 I had to use an axe to chop through the roots! Man am I feeling it today! Still have some smaller bushes to get and I'm hoping the roots will be shallower.

I read somewhere that he was good friends with  Zion Harmon and Louisville basically axed him from their list. They speculated this would turn Aminu off from Louisville...but who knows

Speculation is really what recruiting is.

Hoosiers thought the Ketchup kid was a lock, and we all know how that ended at the last minute......

All of this is hitting way too close to home. a 3rd staff member and their spouse have tested positive and apparently have been sick for nearly 2 weeks.  All 3 that have tested positive are people that Ayden had direct contact with on a daily basis.

Will you get Ayden tested or do you have to wait for symptoms?

  15. If you know where Evansville is, it has been reported there is a positive case across the river in Henderson, Ky.

Also being reported the Evansville Catholic Diocese is closing their office since someone had close contact with a person that has tested positive.

Good news.  My son came home with one package of toilet paper today, from our local grocery store.  We were not out.  But wanted to add to what we have, for fear of running out. He was told he could purchase two packages. But opted not to...in order to leave some for others.

Grocery store chain here in Evansville will open early (6:00 a.m. to 7:00a.m.) for senior citizens only....
