  1. I guess we agree to disagree on Barkley and the tournament because I want guys who have followed college basketball all year doing the tournament.
  2. Maybe for the NBA broadcast but can't stand having him or any of the other NBA announcers doing the tournament.
  3. That money comes from the big ten network and the more teams you add the less each team will get.
  4. Well if we didn't then they played 8 out of the other 9 teams and that would be better than if you played 9 out of 20 teams. My point is that conference expansion is not good for the actual product on the field and the only reason for it is money. Also I care more about how all of this effects basketball and right now we have 6 teams we only play once and if you expand that would make it more teams you don't play twice.
  5. When there was 10 teams. We have played Nebraska one time since they have been in the big ten so it is not like we are in the same conference. The only reason for it is money and not for the better of the sport and that is what I care about. Just like in pro sports when all sports started expanding in the early 90's sand to me it watered down those sports.
  6. Not hanging on to the past what so ever but wanting what is best for the sport and having 20 team conferences is not the best for any sport. Being part of a conference is about being part of a group who is competing for a championship and playing all the teams in that conference. If you split a conference up by two 10 teams sides then you are totally eliminating what it means in being part of a conference. Why does everyone think that all changes in sports are for the better because a lot of them to me has hindered the sport rather than improving it.
  7. NO thank you, 14 is to many but we are stuck with that amount of teams
  8. I know this would never happen but this is what I would like to see the NBA playoffs be like. To me the playoffs are way to long and shouldn't take 3 months to finish the playoffs. I think they should go to the NCAA tournament route and just have one and done scenario and play all games on neutral sites. This way when we see some upsets like Saturday they really mean something but more than likely the higher seed will still win the series. So here is my suggestion for the playoffs and it is to still have a east region and a west region with 8 teams in each region with 4 games at each site. You then lpay the second round at that site as well and after that you will have 4 teams left and have a final four site. East Region at Syracuse New York 1 vs 8 4 vs 5 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 West Region in Seattle Washington 1 vs 8 4 vs 5 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 Final four at New Orleans Louisiana.
  9. 4-2 Celtics but with Marcus Smart out it will hurt there defense. The last game we played against the Celtics he guarded Bojon and got in his head and held him to like 6 points.
  10. Pacers beat Atlanta in the final game to go 48-34 which is the exact record from last year. The Pacers did not play 5 of their top players and still beat Atlanta who played all of their starters.
  11. I love IU football and want all IU sports to succeed but if they said that IU could only field one of the two sports I would pick basketball over football every day.
  12. I like college football but don't watch a lot besides IU games. To me college football is so predictable that you will have the same 4-6 teams vying for the championship every year. For me this is not that entertaining and you will never see a Cinderella team in college football because they never get a chance.
  13. I know it will never happen and I am happy with what we got but I would rather see us be able to play all of our conference opponents twice. A few months ago I paid around $1.30 for gas so it almost got back to a dollar.
  14. If it were up to me this is what would happen because I would like to see conferences a lot smaller.
  15. Also I am worried that Pacers even with Vic is just going to be stuck where they are good enough to be competitive and make the playoffs but never compete for a championship. You will never build a championship team picking in the middle or the lower part of the draft. In NBA you either have to be able to bring in multiple top free agents or suck for 3 or 4 years to get top draft picks. Right now the pacers can't do either one so they are in a holding pattern hat will be hard to get out of.
  16. Pacers are looking horrible at home tonight so far against the Celtics. Just can't believe they are playing like this when this game is pretty much for home court advantage.
  17. If you are talking about Orlando they are not taking since they are competing for a playoff spot.
  18. No expert but I doubt he has much of a chance. If Jimmer Ferdette has had trouble sticking in the NBA I would guess he will as well.
  19. Pacers just beat the Thunder 108-106 after trailing by 19 in the 3rd quarter,
  20. Went to the Pacers game last night and for the first time I was able to see what it was like to watch a game from a suite. My brothers company have a suite in the Lexus Loft which is located on one of the baselines on the club level. It was great because when you walk in you go into a huge looking restaurant with a lot of tables. On one end you have just regular food like hot dogs and nachos and on the other end they have a buffet and with your ticket it is all you can eat. You also have unlimited soft drinks and some alcohol throughout the whole game. You also have a waitress who will bring you whatever you want throughout the whole game and to tell the truth I will have a hard time going back and sitting in a regular seat. Once the game starts they have what they call a theatre box where you have four chairs with two being on one step and you go down a step and have two other chairs. These are huge really comfortable chars and not your normal arena seats and you can just sit back and enjoy the game. There are about 12 of these box seats throughout the suites with different companies but you still feel like you are to yourselves quit a bit. If you want to stand and watch the game you can since you don't have to worry about people being behind you complaining.
  21. Pacers have not looked good in the last 2 games and lost to teams that we shouldn't have. Last night was more forgivable since Sabonis and Evans were out.
  22. Also Sabonis was called for a foul when Griffin pulled him down to the court. I thought Danari was going to off on the refs and he never complains about the officiating. Also thought it would have been a good time for McMillian to get ejected and just go after the refs. He did get one tech but should have kept going.
  23. They were terrible in the Pacer game last night and royally screwed the Pacers. Also Detroit is a very dirty team and was able to get away with a lot of dirty plays in the game.
  24. Rater have OG but he wouldn't be starting for the Pacers and when they have their full roster they usually just play 9 guys so it is not that big of a miss.
