Not the way we wanted things to go for sure....but my interest is all on Donaven. He's our guy for the next 2 seasons minimally. Every snap he takes the rest of the year and we can hit the ground running in 22. Valuable learning time coming and I'm all for it.

We can address line and OC on December 1st but for the time being the program is still in building mode and there are bumps. Last year we were ahead of schedule. This year a step back....but still in climbing mode.

Even the best stocks don't go up every day.

I'm just hoping for Jordan Love to throw for like 300 and 3 tuddies. Would be salacious to watch GB deal with all the qb controversy going into next year lol.

I drafted him in my dynasty league's rookie draft 2 years ago, so I'm really interested to see how he'll do. The fantasy part of me hopes he turns out to be great, but the Bears fan in me can't take a 3rd straight hall of fame QB for the Packers.

Bears offense showed up a lot better today but the defense sucked. Mack and Jackson being out doesn't help but still, blech.

Kind of makes you wonder if Nagy still had his hand in play calling the last few weeks even though he said he gave it up. Looked like a completely different offense with him not around.

I really will and do feel bad for them....even with a month of football left I'm pretty confident they won't be in CFP. The other one that's going to cause problems is when Ohio St gets in over Oregon.

I don't feel bad for them. Cincinnati really isn't helping their case as much as they should if they're really a CFP team.

Everybody knows we had them on the ropes until the targeting call, and they've really struggled against horrible Navy and Tulsa teams the last 2 weeks. If they were routinely beating teams by 40+ they'd easily be in. They just aren't passing the optics test lately.

We lost like one guy on defense from last year and gained Kramer, Ryder, Handy and got Ball back. I empathize with the offensive issues and Penix’s inability to return to form / injuries & transfers at RB but the defense looks like they spent all offseason feelin themselves (Fryfogle can be included here) and not getting prepared to work. Mindset is crucial and these guys clearly didn’t know how to handle the slightest bit of success

Yesterday was really the first game all year where I thought the defense looked much worse than they should have. Well, I guess we could throw OSU in there, but they do that to most people. I don't care what injuries we had, Maryland hadn't scored more than 17 points in a B1G game all year. It was a really poor defensive game.

My biggest issue with the defense is that we're really struggling at creating turnovers, but part of that is other teams playing with the lead. Hard to create a lot of chaos when the other team is ahead all the time. Even with playing behind, we should be much better than 97th in the country at creating takeaways after being one of the best last year.

My biggest concern is what next year's defense will look like. Almost the entire starting defense are seniors. Depending on who uses their extra year, or if anybody goes pro (Mullen), we could be in for an entirely new starting defense next year.

I would say all of that was on display today. I watched McFadden get tackled about 6 or 7 times while blitzing today. How many times today did Maryland get a pass interference called on them?

I feel like holding in general isn't being called as much this year. I have seen so many blatant holds go uncalled in a lot of different games.

He's going to be fine....the volume of talent he'll bring in will cover the mistakes today. We just don't have the depth. Warren is the least of my worries so far.

I'm not saying I'm really down on him and think he'll be terrible, but it's just something I'm concerned about. His track record was pretty spotty before here, and Maryland hasn't scored more than 17 in B1G play this year. We're also going to lose a ton from our defense after this year.

If you miss, it's 35-26 and you still have to score twice. If you kick an extra point, it's 35-27 and you can tie after the next touchdown.

You have to get 2 at some point. A lot better to try it early so you know what you're up against. Then if you miss it, you can change your game plan to know you need 2 more scores. If you wait, it's all or nothing.

I've tried to stay off the board for the game but Sheridan can be let go tomorrow. His love affair with running up the gut all season long on 3rd down has stunted about 15-20 drives. Memo to Nick....it hasn't worked all frickin year. What aren't you seeing???

It's getting to the point where it is like DeBord's last season. We have a lot of good pieces on offense, but if Sheridan comes back, there will he no excitement all offseason. DeBord "retired" that year, and we found a great replacement. If we don't move on, we're going to be extremely limited moving forward.

Not that you expect much different with the offensive line woes, but it would be great if the line and backs would come through for their freshmen QB.

They're putting him in a ton of 2nd/3rd and long situations.

It would be nice, but we know there's zero chance of that happening this year. Everybody knows they aren't going to block well enough to get more than 3 yards running it up the middle. At some point, we need to figure out something else.
