Me either, my best friend from high school decided to be a history teacher and football coach.

His first job was in Houston County Tennessee.

He had some high school girls show up at his house offering "favors"

He told them to get the F out. Called me a told about that. And alot of other things over the years I won't go into.

Public schools are a cesspool of, well think about it.

Unfortunately, over the years, teaching has been made into such an unglamorous job. Poor conditions, terrible administrators, stupid standards, horrible testing, no support for teachers, poor pay for what they have to do and the responsibility they have. Consequently, there are a ton of terrible teachers and administrators out there, and it gets harder all the time for the truly great ones who want to be there.

Most of the best and smartest people go into something else that can make more money. As you know, I left after 8 years to go back and get my masters degree. Got tired of dealing with all the crap and making just over 40k a year.

There are so many issues in education right now. Part of me hopes the teacher shortage gets so bad that it forces an overhaul of the educational system. There needs to be a lot done to get better people going into education again. There are a whole lot of idiots out there teaching right now.

All the respect in the world here gang. It's Kelce.

I don't really disagree with you big picture, but KC is all over the place, and Pitts is turning into a focal point for Atlanta. For fantasy purposes, 1 game scenario, at this point in time, it's pretty close.

If KC gets their magic back, Kelce for sure, but if I had both, I would have to take some time to consider who to start next week.

The SF kicker kicked a 56 yards going into that direction.

He also missed an extra point, and both of those were quite a bit earlier in the game. Could have been trying to go up by 3 (which, like you, I wouldn't agree with), or the field conditions could be getting a lot worse. Just wonder if the weather could have played a part in it.

Will be interesting to see who the Falcons get to replace Ryan over the next couple of years.  Could play a big part on Pitts ascension to #1.  But, with how things are going right now, if you forced me to choose Pitts or Kelce for one game, I would lean towards Pitts until KC figures things out.

I just saw that Chase broke (shattered) the record for most receiving yard in the first 7 games as a rookie with 754. Broke Anquan Boldin's record of 621. Pitts now has 471 after 6 games, and has an outside shot at getting pretty close to that record of Boldin's. As a TE, that's pretty crazy.

He would probably break Ditka's rookie TE record of 1076 in the 14 games Ditka played. Give him 17, and he's probably going to shatter it.

For 1 game, it would be close between Pitts and Kelce. Kelce is still pretty consistent, but Pitts is such a matchup nightmare. If Pitts has another game or two like he's had the last 2 weeks, I'd give him the nod.

Yep.  It's the OL that has me still skeptical about the season.  But, yeah, I'm happy with the Chase pick in the draft.

They're definitely set up well for the future. A good QB and WRs can carry an offense for 8-10 years.  I would imagine the front office knows they have to get better on the OL starting next year. I would guess if they don't go OL heavy in the next draft and/or free agency, there will he a lot of unhappy Bengals fans.

There is a picture somewhere. That thing was probably 4 ft long at least.

Also caught a 30 ish lb white freshwater drum on a trip to Lake Cumberland.

You want big fish, go for tarpon in the Florida Keys. Caught a few "babies" down there.

Would love to do a deepwater trip for a truly big fish one day.

I was on the docks in Mississippi this afternoon, and somebody came in with about a 5 or 6 foot tuna.  Can't imagine catching something that big.

He should. Win or lose...they've got something there. Add a couple more pieces and they'll replace Steelers and pass up Browns in next year. 2 tops.

The Bengals got a lot of flack for drafting Chase instead of Sewell, but man, that offense is going to be dangerous. Chase is going to be close to leading the league in receiving yards after this week.

They really need to get better on the OL, but that's a lot easier to do than to find a game changing WR.

Last year we were riding takeaways, good field position and a healthy confidence Penix.  Stevie Scott as a premier blocker and Whop as someone that can spread the field and demand attention.

Last year our offense put the other team in positions where they had to be more aggressive throwing the ball. We could be much more aggressive on defense. This year, we're getting behind early, and the other team's offense can be a lot more conservative.

It would be great if we could get out to a lead and make the other team make some mistakes.

I would love to see CTA make a change right  now. It show’s he’s had enough

That's why my opinion of Allen hasn't changed at all this year. You could tell in DeBord's last year that he was getting pissd with the offense. Not a chance in hell DeBord retired on his own. He's had 3 coaching jobs since he left. I don't think Allen puts up with coaches not getting it done, and I think we're definitely going to see changes on the offensive staff in the offseason.

All the coaches on offense outside of McCullough (and probably Heard) should be worried. Lots and lots of blame to go around on that side of the ball.

What does the OL room look like with underclassman?  QB's and RB's have no chance.  Can't blame WR's for not creating separation, there literally is no time, rhythm, etc.  Not just this game, every game this season.

The underclassmen OL has a ton of bodies, only a few were very highly rated.

Haven't watched tonight's game (thankfully), but I can't think of the last time we were able to run routes down the field. I think our playcalling is too predictable and doesn't help the OL, but I don't think anybody is good enough at calling plays to make this OL look good.

We've had no holes to run all year. Even last game, we had a long run, and they showed the replay, and the MSU LB took the wrong hole. We didn't even really have to block anybody, they just made a mistake and had nobody there.

It’s hard to believe this is the same team as last year ! Changes need to be made! Starting at Hiller. Then who ever missed what a bad job he was doing !

I'm not a fan on firing a position coach mid-season, but I would make an exception in this case. Our OL has killed this team. Dramatically limited the offense, and the lack of offense has beat down the defense. Maybe a firing would give the line a different mindset and give them a boost. I feel confident in saying it can't be worse than it is now.

  12. It will take at least a couple years to overcome this train wreck. It isn't like we have a scheme issue that could be fixed in a year. Our OL struggles with everything. Fundamentals will have to be completely retaught by a new coach (no way Hiller survives this disaster). More talent will have to be recruited.

We have to make the OL our biggest emphasis moving forward. If we had a Kevin Wilson line, we would be a really good team this year. Our OL play has limited our running game, put a ton of pressure on QBs, and caused almost all routes to be quick and not allow our WR to get separation.

Our offensive line is getting absolutely dominated in this game.  We absolutely must make a change in the off-season

It's to the point where the guys on the OL coaching themselves with YouTube videos might be an improvement. It's mind blowing a line with this much experience in a system can be so bad. And not just bad. They've got to be the worst OL in P5 football by a wide margin.

I like when the announcer said Ryan Day switched Defensive Coordinators after they got beat by Oregon. Our O-line is so bad and play calling is so vanilla and predictable…. I sure hope CTA puts big boy pants on in the off season and finds a new a OC and O-line Coach….He has to be thinking this…

Not only does it hurt the offense, but you know the defense has to get frustrated. The defense has played good enough to win about every game so far, and they have nothing to show for it. I've watched it with the Bears for years. After a while, the defense gets demoralized.

  15. I've never been so happy to be on vacation and unable to watch the game. Going to be embarrassed in 3 of our first 5 games against top 10 teams, and piss away the other 2. Also have to watch PU and Illinois get top 10 wins the last 2 weeks against teams that demolished us. What a disappointing season so far, and getting hard to see us beating Maryland, Rutgers, Minnesota, and Purdue to get to a bowl game.

No way! It isn't a WSB stock haha. I still think there's a ton of potential in it, so I'm hoping to stay until at least $1. I'd like to stay longer, but unfortunately with changing career paths and going back to school, I'm going to be needing to withdraw my money in the next few months. It's definitely going to be the last thing I withdraw from. Unfortunately I didn't have a ton in it to begin with, but definitely fun to double in 9 months!

It's also kind of fun because it trades in Germany and Australia too, so you can follow the trends. Holding decently in Australia so far tonight.

Up 16% in Australia and 21% in Germany overnight. All of you better get your tickets for the moon soon. Don't want you to miss out!

I've gone as far as watching several YouTube videos about some of the lower price point DJI drones. Some very tempting drones in the sub $1000 range. It's an itch that I'm tempted to scratch for sure. If I make the leap, it will probably be to one of the DJI models.

Just make sure you budget in a few extra batteries. 20 minutes goes by really quickly. A carrying case is a great investment too so you can keep extra batteries, chargers, cables, extra propellers, SD cards. So nice to be able to keep it all together and have it where it is easy to take with you if needed.

I don't know. I've been looking at the DJI Mini 2 bundle from Costco is only $489 and I'd think you could recoup that pretty quickly...One drone site said this about it...

"This is the best beginner drone option you can get on the market. You’re able to receive professional results without it being an overwhelming experience."

DJI looks to be the industry standard. Sure, you can go crazy and spend a couple of grand, but I think I'll go slow on this...

Now, the one I bought for 50 bucks let me know it's something that piques my interest, and let me know it's something I can do...but the range is about 100 yards and that makes it tough, especially when I wanted to get up to altitude. I lost connectivity once and came about 10 feet from hitting a pickup truck driving by...I was probably 100 feet in the air and about 150 feet horizontally from it, and lost response...but what did I expect for $50? It's also tough to control in any wind conditions, and even in calm wind it drifts...

The DJI Phantom 3 my school had was awesome. I couldn't imagine needing anything more than what it had. When we first got it, I was testing it out and flew it from my parent's house to my brother's house which is almost a mile away with woods between them. Fantastic range. Did great in the wind, and landed itself perfectly every time.

Don't know much about the DJI mini, but I think all of their products are pretty good.
