Do you know him? From many on this board he seemed to be a great guy. He took IU all the way back  from shit to #1 in several years. Not trying to argue but he did a lot in My mind for IU. I also thought his time ran out!!! Maybe there are things we don't know about at his present job that we do

He never gave IU a bad thought ( at least in public) after his dismissal. Just would like your thought process.

I seem to remember CTC while at IU said he would not play that game. I will always wish CTC well! He did bring us back from nothing!!! GO IU!

I'm from NE Indiana and I remember Bavis, and his story is a tragic one.  However, he had a great HS and college career.  In HS he played for the Garrett Railroaders which was a small school.  There was another 7 footer on the team as well as an excellent guard who I believe went to Florida.  Many teams stalled against Garrett because of their size and skill.  Garrett was a local and state power house for a few years in mid-60's.

 They  so much talent and if I am wrong it will be by spelling. The other 7 footer was Heights  my spelling is bad but he is also the uncle of Brad Miller from east noble and PU fame. Long time NBA PLAYER!!  yes they Garrett had so much talent that their coach got fired for going 20 and zero or I was told

Their attack mode will offset some of their weakness on defense. The Crean years showed that. Iowa and the ILLNI both showed they are a  threat to win the NCCA CHAMP. Not even mentioning MSU. These seem like the late 80"s THE BIG 10 IS THAT  GOOD AND DEEP! IU and i HATE TO SAY IT  ARE NOT THERE YET! BUT getting in  my opinion close.
