I agree that the 2 Grandison 3s were a turning point, but I also thought XJ trying to get under Frazier's skin and drawing that push foul hurt us more than it helped...I thought XJ had played him fairly evenly until then...after that, it was no contest...

Why was that foul not looked at as I thought it was a shot to the face but could not tell from the angle

An absolutely atrocious no-call in the Florida-Tennessee game.  Florida player beyond the arc pump fakes Tennessee defender in the air.  Tennessee defender literally lands on top of him and there is no foul call.  I exaggerate not...worst no-call I've seen in a loooooong time.

I was watching that game and  told the wife about that play. I think during the next timeout Coach White was telling the ref that was 6 missed calls in a row which is pretty close to what I had witnessed during that time. I try not to blame the Ref's but as others have said it's bad across the board, Time for the NCAA to pony up for full time Ref's

This...very much this. Our backcourt can be very dynamic in the next couple years if things develop like they should. We find a stretch 4 that can shoot the 3 and a big to take care of the paint and I think we will be fighting for a B1G championship. Bates, JHS, Lander, Little, Gunn with guys like Galloway, Leal, Geronimo, Banks on the wing...not sure if Duncomb and whom else will come to fill Trayce shoes but man...I want to see that team play! Ton of potential.

We won't need to fill  Trayce''s  shoes. It will be by each pos. giving more pts.,rebounds, assit, to overall team approach! Love Trayce and what he gives to us . But love having 5 guys on the floor that cause defense to worry about.

With a minute to go I was sure that FT% was going to be what broke it off in us.

I've been watching IU since 1982 and I can't recall a Turnover number that low.

Kid ain't it great!! Been watching since the early mid 60's! LAST NIGHT TO ME RANKS UP THERE WITH SOME OF THE BEST!!! I have seen both good and bad but by God before I pass and join Mile , CC. HTD, Snowling, I am going too see the 6th banner!! Got the Monkey off the back and keep improving! It only LEADS to better things to come! (In life) and in sports!! I saved my drinking for TODAY!!!🍺🍺😎

I've seen some real player development.  I can't judge the newcomers.  But, in my mind, we're seeing a better Trayce, Race, Galloway, and Geronimo than we would have under the previous coaching regime.

I don't follow % but I do know I am trusting Galloway shooting when he feels he can make it. Geronimo is at the same thought. On the neg. is Landers is he being told what he needs to do or is he happy? I want this young Hoosier to get it and be a major player in IU'S  6th  banner.

I wasn’t expecting to go from where we’ve been to where we want to be in one year. I came into the season expecting top half of the B1G and to hear our name called on Selection Sunday. We are on pace for that, so I’m feeling positive. Anything beyond that would be a bonus. In regard to Woodson specifically, he is meeting my year one expectations, not exceeding them, not missing them, but certainly meeting them.

This was how I felt when CMW was hired. But I feel the recruiting is far better than I thought at this stage for not being a coach in college ranks before. But want to think (administration) did well with letting CMW get the STAFF he wanted and then some. To me the future looks bright

  7. I think we are on par from what most on here thought we would be in terms of wins and losses. I wanted to make the tournament and be top 6-7 in the BIG10. Win  a game or 2 in BIG10  tourney. I see this as on par. As some have said we could be Undefeated with this or that going our way. Recruiting is looking good, players like each other, we play hard , we are a better overall looking team than in the past few years, all in all I think we are looking UP. Some of the comments from  Iowa's game and  Neb. we did win got me thinking what most thought where we would be. I give us a B- overall for 2nd half of several games But very sure we are only getting better!!

Not sure what you’re talking about. PSU although not great, is not bad. Rutgers beat PU, PSU was competitive with PU. Most teams are going to have “bad” losses and good wins, that’s called playing a season. You’re searching for negativity here.

I think it was just the way game was being played. Neither team looked good. I can't stand this type of basketball.  I didn't mean to imply winning on the road is easy.  And thanks for telling me how a season plays out. I have only followed IU Basketball since the 60's🙂

I sure hope Fife has been in his ear.  Basketball isn't just Basketball and you can't just roll the ball out and play everyone the same.  You have to adjust or you're going to get your ass beat.  That's especially true when you're playing a Wisconsin, Syracuse, Virginia, etc.   I still doubt Woody has figured that out.

I think Coach was talking aau ball where you just roll it out.

I agree regarding conference strength but to the Zags credit they are willing to play several big non conference games every year.

But 1 or even 5 games you set up does not equal playing in a power conference. If IU had been in the MAC would we have missed the NCAA these last few years? I always feel if you want to be the best play against the best.

  11. I didn't watch the game but followed on the board and watched a game tracker! I thought that we would come out flat. The  Scuse game and the let down with the loss! Happy for the Bench guys!! We need bench and STARTERS to play well. TDJ off today better than later! Can't be in Beast mode every game. Bench played a lot better than the Scuse game! A game that should have won and THE TEAM DID. Get better every game! We will be up and down because of all thats New surrounding the team! A bad start but a W is all we ask for! Guys get over your selfs on Rob and Kristian you are  both Right!! Trust COACH!! GO IU! Congratulations on Your 1st of MANY BID 10 WINS CMW and STAFF!

You said, "you have to take the good with the bad".

No, you don't. If you take the bad (25 turnovers), you're going to be a mediocre team. Purdue doesn't turn the ball over. They play smart basketball. They play unselfish.

We can be really good. I have no doubt. We have the talent to beat anyone. But if we don't fix our biggest Achilles heel, we are going to struggle in some games we gotta win.

Why so down! Sure we made too many mistakes But we fought like heck after halftime. We are a new team with new leadership and hopefully we grow and get better every game! Some of the Banner hanging teams struggled and yet by the end of the year WON IT ALL! This team just needs to play together and get better as the year goes on.!

  13. Great game!!! Bad out come! Last few years we would have been blown out. There is still a ways to get where we want to be but getting there is going to be fun! PS I thought Durr played well while in there! There is a LOT to LIKE and dislike that I feel will be handled in the future!
