That was the tipping point. Go up three scores and temper SF’s momentum. Failing to pick up that 4th down totally changed the game

That was definitely the tipping point. I thinl they should have kicked it, but in Campbell's defense the play worked. The WR dropped what should have been an easy catch.

Niners with my brain. Lions with my heart.

That's where I'm at too. I want the Lions for all of the reasons everyone else does. Also as an Eagles fan, I don't want the 49ers to win.

But, I also don't want the Chiefs to win the SB, but think the 49ers are the better team and have the best chance to beat the Cheifs.

  3. I didn't have a dog in the fight. I can't stand Mahomes/Kelce and my wife is a Steelers fan so we hate the Ravens.

With that said, the Ravens made a ton of bad mistakes, but it's a little frustrating to see so many taunting and personal foul calls against the Ravens, while Kelce spends the entire game taunting people, shoving people after the play, and instigating and never gets called for anything.

Win at OSU, vs. Wisconsin, MSU, Nebraska, NW, and no bad losses. Is that enough?  That NET still seems like it would be kind of low. It’s a fine needle to thread. Lets start the process Tuesday.

Yup, hopefully that would put us close. Might need a little, "they travel well" luck to make up for some metric short-comings.

But, it starts with one win on Tuesday.

Win the next 2 at home

winnable game in the road at OSU and things can change in a hurry

Big resume building games with Wisky Northwestern and MSU at home and this team has a chance to salvage the season.

Slim margin or no margin for error but it is there.

The Illinois game showed they still had some fight.

Yup, the opportunity is still there. But as you said, the margin of error is razor thin.

Probably need to win 2 of those 3, if not all 3, against NW, MSU and Wisconsin.

But the chances are still there.

You mean more guys on drugs and not going to class?

Sampson shouldn’t have been fired over the calls. He should have been fired for trashing the culture of the program

Agree. I've said numerous times over the years that the phone calls aren't why the program was ruined, it was the grades and drug culture.

My post wasn't meant as a support of what Sampson did at IU. It was "what could have been" if he had been able to keep his nose clean and run the program like he has at Houston.

I don't follow yhe NBA closely these days. But it seems TJD has had his minutes reduced recently. And he had been playing well

He shows only 6 minutes against the Lakers tonight.

Ever since Draymond came back, TJD's minutes have been cut.

The narrative of the board was that we would not compete today.

There were multiple posters that thought we would get beat by more than the spread that the betting books had.

Yeah, we lost. Yeah, making the tournament looks like a long shot.

I thought that this team showed a lot of fight today.. Not perfect by a long shot, but definitely they could hold their heads high for the effort they gave. Especially since our best player was not on the floor.

It is so easy to pile on and beat down these guys and the coaches. It’s so easy to join the crowd.

Would love if this forum might try to get behind these guys.

I thought the team competed very hard today as well. A lot of fight and competitiveness. Gotta he happy with that!

I've never really thought effort has been much of an issue with this team.

Playoffs slow down tremendously…you have to be able to get stops and the Pacers I don’t trust yet to do that. I still think we need a shuffle. Randle getting hurt tonight is big…Knicks have looked legit since the OG but they are about as snake bit as us.

Agree completely. In the playoffs you have to be able to play in the halfcourt on both ends.

Hard to win a Game 7 on the road if you're not great at halfcourt defense.

I am done with this style of offense because it makes it an uphill battle to win games.  If Woodson can't or won'take changes then he needs to step down at the end of the year.

    The good from the game

Team played hard and with some passion. They competed until the end. Reneau had another good game. Besides his stupid play at the end of the half I thought Johnson played well.

    The bad

    3 point shooting

    FT shooting

    Defensive rebounding

I'm pretty done with this offensive system too. The offense very Archie-esque.

If I was Dolson, I'd need a crystal clear plan of system changes Woodson plans to make in order for him to get another season.

How do gds. get confidence when it's all about throwing it inside and it rarely comes out again?

So much for shooting 62% inside to offset 3's.

You cannot trade 2's for 3's and expect to win.

Another low for the year of lows.

This! The offense isn't designed to get any good, rhythm 3's.

Reneau is a gamer and incredibly skilled around the basket, but our entire offense can't be to pass it to him and everyone stand around until he forces it or reluctantly passes.
