  1. That flagrant foul was absolutely awful. Curry jumped like 3ft forward and kicked his legs out.
  2. I've only complained that Tatum doesn't get the same treatment. While the Celtics have gotten a decent whistle in this game, Tatum should have about 6 more free throw attempts at least.
  3. And he would have actually played. Though I'm not sure Langford is long for the NBA. I could see him in Europe or the G-League after his deal is up.
  4. It is pretty sureal to see Juwan Morgan running out of the tunnel to take the court in the NBA Finals.
  5. Meh. The Celtics have won 8 road games in these playoffs already, including one in GS. They lost Game 3 at home in the same situation against Miami and came back. They lost Game 5 at home against Milwaukee to go down 3-2 and came back. Again it's not ideal to lose tonight, but this is not 'must win.' Winning both these home games is the goal, but if they split there no difference between which game they win.
  6. I disagree. Would it makes things easier/better for the Celtics? Absolutely. But if you're saying tonight is must win, then you're essentially saying the next two are must win. Going back to GS up 3-1 would be amazing and ideal, but splitting these two home games doesn't mean it's over.
  7. Yup, in the one season from Jackson to Kerr the Warriors went from 12th in offensive rating to 2nd in the NBA in offensive rating. Their defense actually improved as well, from 4th in the league under Jackson to 1st in the league under Kerr.
  8. Celtics lost control. The turnovers were a killer once again, just like in several games against Miami. Unlike last game, the officials made themselves part of the story. They basically allowed Draymond Green play football tonight. Just one example, but this was called a foul on Grant Williams!?!?
  9. TJD said he was all about one thing this year...winning, right? He's willing to kick anybody off the team for any transgressions, right? Then he should be fine with 5 less minutes per game during the regular season if it means it's good for the team long term and that he can go 32+ with fresher legs in the tournaments.
  10. Agree, and like I said earlier my guess is that Reneau is an upgrade over last years version of JG and a huge upgrade over Durr, which means there won't be as much of a drop-off with an improved JG and Reneau backing up TJD and Race. Also, the difference with Reneau compared to Durr, is that now TJD, Race, JG and Reneau can all play together. You can mix and match those guys any way you like, where last season TJD and Durr couldn't really play together.
  11. Agree with both of you, in that it's harder to conceptualize a ton of minutes for Reneau at this point, but I think Woodson also wants to play Race and TJD less minutes this year. Especially Race as he wore down towards the end of last season.
  12. I think JHS starts, the opening is there. I don't think Reneau will start, there just isn't a spot in the starting group for him, but I still think he'll have a big impact. He should be better than both JG and Durr were last season off the bench.
  13. I know this is the experience thread, and I'm all on-board with that and agree that it is huge that we have so much coming back! No disagreement there at all. With that said, I think a lot of us are sleeping on JHS and Reneau. If these were Indiana kids people would be so hyped. Going by rankings, this is like having Yogi and TJD in the same class. I realize because of the experience returning that minimizes some of the hype, and I think there is an element that they don't get hype because they're not Indiana kids so we don't know as much about them. But, I'd expect both to have a big (big is relative) impact.
  14. Agree. Though would add, from watching the game I dont think this was a matter of the refs letting the Celtics be physical. There were a couple missed calls each way, but last night was actually a very clean, well played and officiated game.
  15. Just wanted to note that I thought the officiating was fantastic last night. I'm not just saying that because the Celtics won, I posted shortly before halftime when the Warriors were winning that I thought the officiating had been good.
  16. Yeah, Brown got it going early in the 4th and it snowballed from there.
  17. Just an incredible comeback and 4th quarter, and amazingly all with Tatum not scoring and Smart on the bench for most of it. I said it earlier, but before the media crushes him, Tatum actually had a really good game. He shot poorly but he played well. Strong defense, didn't force things, 13 assists and made the right plays.
  18. Man, Tatum was just having an average shooting night instead of a horrendous one. In his defense though, he's played really well otherwise.
  19. Tough quarter. Giving up offensive rebounds and Tatum having a horrible shooting game (he's playing really well otherwise) are the difference right now.
  20. Fun game so far! Entertaining, good play, and the officiating has been really solid.
  21. Who cares where they play? Just play. Home/home? Fine. Neutral site in Indy? Fine. Destination neutral site? Fine. Just play them and beat them! It's a great rivalry, play them anywhere and beat them regularly.
  22. Here's one taking it even further.
