  1. I'm not sure why everyone thinks Galloway is a finished product? Dude would be a monster if he can fix his shooting, which was showing signs of improvement before the wrist injury.
  2. I disagree on the NBA thing though. Yes, he'll need perimeter skills to sniff the NBA, but it's not just Draymond Green that plays a small 4. The NBA is moving that way. PJ Tucker plays the 4 for Miami, Jae Crowder plays the 4 for Phoenix, Grant Williams plays the 4 and sometimes the 5 for Boston, Nicolas Batum plays the 4 for the Clippers, OG plays the 4 for Toronto, Robert Covington played the 4 a lot for Portland before being traded to LA, Patrick Williams plays the 4 for Chicago, and so on.
  3. I feel like we would give up a massive amount of transition 3's with a TJD, Race, JG lineup.
  4. I would say it hurts more defensively. Not saying that because I think it would be a good offensive lineup, more because I think it would be a really bad defensive lineup. Both Race and JG consistently get lost on the perimeter, so to have them both out there with one as a true wing, I think would be a bad combo.
  5. I keep seeing people saying we shouldn't expect a ton from JHS and comparing his production to Bates because they were ranked similarly. Maybe it's semantics, but JHS is ranked 22nd in the composite rankings. That's much more comparable to guys like Yogi, JBJ, and Thomas Bryant (obviously different position) who all produced immediately.
  6. I'm a Steph guy, so you're preaching to the choir. As you said, a 4th title, and 2nd without Durant would absolutely cement his legacy and in my mind he'd be the 2nd best player of this generation behind LeBron. I also think he's changed the game more than anybody of the last 20-30 years. His impact has been immeasurable.
  7. Agree on Wiggins, and also what a phenomenal job by Bob Meyers, Golden States GM, to retool after Durant left and while Thompson was injured for 2 years.
  8. That was was maybe the worst call I've ever seen.
  9. Wow, I think I just saw the worst call I've ever seen. Andrew Wiggins just posterized Luka and they called an offensive foul. Luka didn't even try taking charge or anything. He just flew by the play. Kerr is challenging, will be a joke if its not overturned.
  10. Agree on Brown. He's an All-Star caliber player, for sure. He put up 40 in an ECF game yesterday. His shooting has improved tremendously, he almost automatic from the mid-range and is basically a high-30's% 3pt shooter. He needs a lot of work on his handles and then also just needs to become more consistent. Consistency is where Butler has him.
  11. I think you have to go Zeller #1 and then probably Yogi #2. With that said, I think people sleep on Thomas Bryant a ton. A lot of that is probably because he isn't an Indiana kid, but the dude was an absolute stud and we don't win the Big Ten or go to the Sweet Sixteen without him. I'm an Oladipo guy too, and he might have been the most talented player in 12-13, but Zeller was the most important player from 11-13. He was the game changer.
  12. Gotta disagree with this. Does JG need to greatly improve his perimeter skills to play in the NBA? Absolutely. But he doesn't need to be a 3 (if that's even a thing anymore) in college or really the NBA. Watching the NBA, Grant Williams plays the 4 and 5 for the Celtics, PJ Tucker plays the "4" for the Heat, Jae Crowder plays the "4" for the Suns, Draymond Green plays the 4 and the 5 for Golden State, Batum plays the 4 for the Clippers, Herbert Jones plays the 4 for the Pelicans, etc., etc. I think JG has miles and miles to go to even be considered an NBA player, but if he gets there his role would be this 4 & D or 3 & D role, but most of the times now an NBA 3 & D guy is a college 4.
  13. I knew Steak 'n Shake had lost it luster when they put one in our town in Maryland about 6-7 years ago. It's always the same with those types of places. They have a great thing and then they try to replicate it all over the country and they outgrow and can't mass produce what made them great. I was all excited and took the family there and they ended up all confused as to why I was hyping it up so much.
  14. Oladipo was fantastic and took advantage of his opportunity. Do I think he got away with numerous fouls that caused live ball turnovers and changed the game? Absolutely. But part of the game is sensing how the game is being officiated and adjusting to that. Oladipo did that, Tatum and Brown didn't and they were over driving and getting themselves in bad positions.
  15. I don’t know that Celtics don't get a fiar whistle. The Celtics do have game where they're really physical too. I am aware my team has Marcus Smart and Grant Williams, I get how they play. My frustration really comes for the most part from watching Jayson Tatum get mugged, pushed, hit and knocked around, while guys like Giannis, Butler, Doncic, Embiid, etc., march to the free throw line. Tatum doesn't get the calls many of those guys get and he has absolutely earned the 'star treatment'.
  16. Yeah, the Celtics were an absolute mess tonight and in the 3rd quarter of Game 1 with just ridiculous turnovers. Just really bad play and mostly careless. Might have cost themselves a trip to the Finals here. I'll disagree that Boston has the two best players. Jaylen Brown is not better than Jimmy Butler. He can play as well as Butler, but Butler is far more consistent with it.
  17. Not sure how I can be more clear. I've clearly said the Celtics blew that game. I've clearly said Tatum, Brown, and Smart combined for 17 turnovers and shot 5-for-20 from 3. I literally posted a tweet from a reporter blaming the loss on the Celtics overall turnovers and live ball turnovers. I actually wrote that Celtics gave the game away more then the Heat won it, and actually said the Celtics got a favorable whistle tonight. Not sure what you're reading? Yes, there were some bad calls, but again the Celtics got the more favorable whistle tonight for the most part.
  18. Can you seriously just let one conversation go without some stupid reference to the 80's? For real. Also, I've clearly said the Celtics blew the game tonight with stupid turnovers and decisions.
  19. Or maybe the Pacers just sucked?
  20. If they let him foul like he did in the 4th quarter today, maybe? For real, I love Oladipo, and the Celtics got a pretty favorable whistle tonight, but Dipo was aloud to foul a lot on some of those 4th quarter turnovers from Brown and Tatum. He absolutely mugged Tatum on the play he hurt his shoulder.
  21. Pretty sure they called a foul on that play.
  22. Sorry, I didn't watch the Celtics in 1974.
  23. Just horrible. How can you be that careless with the ball in this situation?
  24. The Celtics might have just cost themselves a championship tonight. Long way to go, but that was an atrocious loss. I think the Celtics are clearly the better team, don't even really think it's all that close, but the Celtics absolutely gave that game away more than Miami won it. 19 live ball turnovers, mostly unforced.
