2022 DE Joe Strickland Commits to Purdue
dwtaylor1055 replied to HoosierKix's topic in Football Recruiting
PU fans worried that they are falling too far behind IU in terms of football. They're also starting to worry about IU being ahead of them in basketball within the next three years. -
2022 Class Rankings and Discussion
dwtaylor1055 replied to Leathernecks's topic in Football Recruiting
If we can nab Caden Curry(would be 2nd highest recruit for 2022) we move from 26th overall at 162.78 to 181.18 which would be good for 20th nationally, remaining 5th in Big ten. Add in Bray Lynch and we up to 18th overall nationally, still 5th in Big ten. If we only nab Bray we move from 26th overall at 162.78 to 171.03 which would be good for 24th nationally. Who else do we have good chances at for the 2022 class? -
2022 Class Rankings and Discussion
dwtaylor1055 replied to Leathernecks's topic in Football Recruiting
With Monds III moving to a four star, does our class ranking move up or no? -
Chances he chooses us? Would be ideal if we could get at least one of him or Gaines at the WR spot

2022 Class Rankings and Discussion
dwtaylor1055 replied to IUfaninIllinois's topic in Basketball Recruiting
If we can nab another guy to go along with CJ I will feel comfortable going into next offseason, would prefer a class of three at the minimum. Lots of movement will be expected again via transfer portal so I easily see us hitting the transfer market very hard if CJ is our only commit or if we only have a class of two guys for 2022. I think 2023 we have plenty of time for CMW and company to work on. -

Turdue fans think they’re our big brother so they’re wrong quite often 😑 -
Jalen Washington (2022) Commits to North Carolina

I like our chances with anyone that we recruit, especially with what CMW and company are putting in place. It’s only a matter of time. -
2023 Myles Colvin Commits to Purdue
dwtaylor1055 replied to go_iu_bb's topic in Basketball Recruiting
Brooks parents persuaded Keion to go to UK, if this happens with Colvin we shall see if it follows suit. It hasn't exactly worked out the greatest for KB at UK -
Luka is extremely nice to the fans off the court(met him a few times since he's entered the league when they play the Pacers), however, on the court is a different story. I agree with you

i just don't see how we can remain hopeful that we get to see the full potential of this squad after a few seasons(with the exception of LeVert). Brogdon - Injury prone history shows Warren - Injury prone history shows LeVert - Take this year out and he's had a nack for injuries Myles - Not a big injury risk imo Sabonis - Will become injury prone if he continues playing 38 mins per night lol
-
Simon will allow Pritchard and Carlisle to change the team within reason. This hire indicates they're ready to try and compete now and for the foreseeable future and not rebuild. I see one of Myles or Sabonis being traded possibly and even trading the 13th pick for a veteran guy that can step in and make an impact day one. This hire helps the W/L column a little, but the moves with players will determine if we move past the first rd or no.

I’ve heard this as well. Would love for him to return. Thad has one year left for $14 mil so he’d have to be acquired

Jalen has most upside out of the guys projected to be at 13 besides Giddy. Jalen fills a need as a small ball four off the bench with high upside. don’t want Wagner pass kispert can shoot but would we replace Doug with Kispert and spend the money that would have gone to Doug on a stretch four off the bench? Giddy has my eyes. Can pass and create for teammates. His shot can be improved with help. He has a lot of upside here.

Three way trade to send Harris elsewhere. No way would I want Harris in Indiana lol
-
As long as he doesn't consider us to be "The University of Indiana".
-
I'd take Sabonis over Harris any day of the week. You trade Harris to make it work for Sabonis any day. Sabonis and Embiid would be fun together. No frontcourt would be better than them two together
-
Point Domas
-
Ben Simmons for Sabonis and Lamb? Assuming he fixes his shot. 1...2....3.... Go Simmons/Brogdon/LeVert/Warren/Turner
-
both could co-exist together with one starting and one as their direct backup for years to come
-
so Robert Williams or Moses Brown?

Justin Taylor 2022 Commits to Syracuse

I see Flip decided to chime in on Justin's instagram -
I see TJD, Race, KJ and Stewart as the four to leave via graduate transfers or NBA.

Tamar Bates Commits to INDIANA!!
dwtaylor1055 replied to Between2Halls's topic in General Basketball Discussion
I really think this kid will take off. He appears to have it all together like you indicated. I still am of the belief that he can be as good as Romeo, possibly better here at IU. Time will tell and if he stays more than one year then it'll be hard to compare but I have high hopes for this kid.
