  1. First games for fans back at Bankers life(1,000 fans and all were season ticket holders) and it felt great being there although they lost. Anyone that says Myles isn't important to this team or that he is an average player isn't watching. Without him, the defense struggles and with him well there's a reason he's at 4.2 blocks per game and the defense improves drastically. Aaron is in a slump, big fan but he's struggling with his shots which imo is affecting is defense. His shots will start falling though right? That's what CAM is saying about our shooters but I've been waiting for awhile but I won't go there lol Lamb looked good returning for his first game from his ACL tear last Feb. Coach said after the game he elected not to play Goga but said it wasn't because he isn't healthy just didn't like the matchup but went on to say he should have and he will play moving forward. Jakar is a gap filler not a long term solution but he shouldn't be on the floor whenever Goga is healthy. Goga's first year was a wash under McMillan, he does not develop players very well and won't make changes like the new coach. He just got back from being hurt Sunday and played ok in his first game back considering the amount of time he's missed and of course it was the Clippers which are a top team in the west. I think Goga will continue to get better and feel more comfortable. I still believe Goga will be at a min a very good role player for this team. He provides better shot blocking than Sabonis.
  2. Think he could turn into a Durham type of guy for this team, sure Durham has his downfalls but overall I'd be happy with CJ
  3. he did have some injury problems in college and the same here in the NBA but to my knowledge no major injuries like what Vic recently experienced.
  4. yeah Goga is unproven but I think he could be at a min a solid rotational big and should say Turner ever get moved Goga over time could develop and turn into a very good player but only time will tell with him. Thad is a good question, brings good defense and would be a good fit off the bench along with Aaron, Justin, Doug , Lamb and Goga.
  5. Agree. I think once Goga returns and gets some mins you see our rebounding improve some. Have you seen when he plans to join the team yet?
  6. Was surprised when I saw the Pacers were included in the big Rockets deal yesterday but IMO the Pacers got better with this deal. Brooklyn well they better win at least one title while the big three is there otherwise you'll be the laughing stock of the NBA for a little while. I like Houston's team with Wall, Oladipo, Cousins and Wood along with Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker. Back to the Pacers trade. Levert was averaging 18.5 pts, 43.5 fg%, 35 3p%, 4.3 rbs, 6 ast this year. He's on a more friendly deal than vic at about $18 mil per year, two years younger, two inches taller and just entering his prime. Biggest question was would Vic get his explosiveness back and based on 9 games he's played in I say yes. I'd say he's at or close to 95% of his form pre injury. Vic averaging 19.8 pts, 39.9 fg%, 35.69 3p%, 5.9 rbs, 4.3 ast per game so similar to LeVert. With these stats and most of his explosiveness returning he was set to make imo at least $28 to $31 mil per year next off season. The Pacers would not give that big of a contract due to the fact of other contracts on the team AND the friction that had been ongoing I love Vic and wish him the best but this was best for both teams. The Pacers got better IMO, younger freed up some cap space for this year and the future. A starting 5 of Brogdon/LeVert/Warren/Sabonis/Turner with Holiday bros/Doug/Goga and Lamb off of the bench will be trouble for alot of teams. People that slept on Myles Turner in the off-season, well I won't go there as some thought he was just an average player compared to other centers in the league.
  7. Boy I hope so. I think if Vic leaves or gets traded its Aarons for the taking. I have been a big fan since he entered the draft
  8. I am looking for Aaron Holiday to take yet another leap. Same for Goga.
  9. Celtics still lost by giving away Hayward for nothing. No need to argue. Sure they got guys to come in and sign(ala Thompson, Teague, etc), but they lost out on other potential guys while waiting and wanting a top 5 shot blocker in the league, a promising young guard(Aaron Holiday) and/or TJ Warren in return for Hayward when every knows the Pacers weren't going to give away that much talent for one guy.
  10. Boston lost Hayward and got nothing in return πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  11. Celtics in a tricky spot. If they can’t work a deal via sign and trade, pacers should have no problem finding a trade partner for Myles that will absorb his salary then sign can sign Hayward for around 3 yr $65 mil. Or 4 yr $100 mil.
  12. Whatever you pull, I'd flip real quick. These will drop tremendously in value once the first product comes out featuring these guys in NBA jerseys.
  13. The fear is a torn Achilles for Klay Thompson
  14. I think Hayward is closer to a 4 yr $80 mil. Length is key here with him givin his age and injury history
  15. only way to work for pacers would be a sign and trade. Brogdon is a good defender as is Vic, Warren is a good underrated defender. Sabonis is average or below average on defense. Hayward is worse than Sabonis on defense. Not sure its an awful unit for defense, its at least average at worst.
  16. at the salary cap with only 7 guys under contract so bad lol
  17. I like the Jrue trade for the Bucks for a few reasons: 1.) He's a terrific two way player 2.) He knows his role on and off the court 3.) Can score at all three levels. I think the Bucks have done enough to show Giannis why he should sign a super max and stay but we shall see. A starting 5 of Jrue/Middleton/Bogdon/Giannis/Lopez is lethal and scary. Now there bench is another story. They'll need to get some solid vet mins to fill the bench.
  18. Yes I think a starting lineup of Brogdon, Vic, Hayward, Warren and Sabonis is a better fit in todays game. 4 guys that can step behind the arc and stroke the 3 ball(Sabonis worst out of the starting 5). Bench is a major wild card entering this offseason
  19. Decision day for Gordan Hayward. Should he opt out, I firmly believe he'll give the Pacers the 1st chance to sign him. If this is the case Myles IMO would likely be dealt to get some return assets and free up money to give Hayward a 3 or 4 year deal. Or you keep Myles and flip Vic and get very little in return BUT you get rid of what has been a headache for the last few months. If the Pacers don't sign anyone(not including resigning someone from last year ala Justin Holiday) the offseason moves for the Pacers would be the continued development with Aaron Holiday and Goga Bitadze with the new coach that's arrived. If Goga can take a step forward similar to what Aaron did between year one and year two that is a very big win.
  20. Mason and Aminu left on the recruiting trail. Need one of the two.
  21. could be but your talking it would be what his 6th or 7th season since he started out at Butler?
  22. If we enter the 21-22 season with Race and Logan as our two bigs we will def need to get a transfer. Hunter could play the four but other than that noone else could play down low. Maybe Geronimo given his length but we'd be going really small.
  23. Hey look a former and always a Hoosier that wants to come and stay in Indiana.... cough cough Victor Oladipo
  24. Reporter in Miami. Also J Michael saying Kyle Lowry was the player he talked to about playing with the Raptors
