121-88 Only the 5th 30-point road win in franchise history. a really impressive performance. I'm getting really excited about Pacer basketball again and it all started with the trade that brought Vic to Indy.

Man, the Pacers are just THROTTLING the Jazz. Great to see them look very good without Vic on the floor.

Could you imagine how much better the game would be if pitchers were required to go right into a windup as soon as they caught the ball? No balks allowed...they can throw to any base...no batters being allowed to step out? How exciting would it be if neither the batter nor the catcher knew what was coming? ...and yes, before the crowd of baseball purists jump in, I understand that what I just proposed is baseball blasphemy and doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting introduced to the game, but Scott has a point...the game needs speeded up. A lot. ...and yes, I am aware that I have hijacked the crap out of the NBA thread. That's what happen when the subject veers off course and we forget where we are posting.

The PED scandal really really hurt baseball. Even today, I hear people wonder out loud if (player performing well) is taking steroids. That doubt and stigma really hurts their ability to use players to flog products.

Mark this down...OG will end up every bit as good as Vic. Makes me absolutely sick that the Pacers passed on him.

I was with you man...liked the trade from day one. Admittedly, it was as much about the character if the players at the time, but I also loved the idea of getting younger talented players who could grow into a role. I may have underestimated Sabonis though...i just viewed him as a bonus role player. He may end up a fair amount better than that ...but yes...I remember well the ridicule some of us took for liking the trade when it was announced.

Sabonis numbers amended...he was 12/12 from the field for 30 before fouling out. Unbelievable.

Pacers not where they should be as a team yet this year, but it's mind-boggling to think that Sabonis was the extra throw-in on the Oladipo-George trade.

I like the newer, faster, higher scoring NBA. Sure, I appreciate great defense, but I detest allowing defenders to maul the people they are guarding. There's no place for Wisconsin-style defense at any level. It just makes for ugly unwatchable basketball.

Cavs fire Tyron Lue. No surprise there...he's about as bad as little Ricky.
