I shut em off after the malice in the palace and really didn't get interested in them until Vic came to town.

He did the same thing I did when the Pacers got Vic...suddenly it's a much more interesting team because the personnel are much more likeable.

From a pure fun standpoint, you're right, but a lot of these kids come from some pretty difficult financial backgrounds. There's a reason the money started flowing in the college game.

Based on where they are today and where I think they'll be in the future? Absolutely.

Possible, but Vic seems like such a selfless player for the star that he is. I expect that if he struggles with that, it won't be for long. I also would add that he will likely be an even better player even if he scores a couple of points less. Pacers have a really nice player to build around...a real leader than can make everyone around him better.

I knew I could pull you back in...😉 Top 5-10 is tough, but I love his mindset. I keep saying to myself that I won't overestimate him and he keeps blowing past my expectations, so I'm raising the bar. I think he can be top 10, if not top 5. Three's so much competition at the top and sheer will and dedication only gets you so far.

I'll go back to what I've said consistently about Vic...I take him over a lot of people (PG included 😉) due to his trajectory. I think Vic is still not close to his peak performance and capability, while many other stars have peaked and are even on the back side of that mountain. If Vic doesn't have a major injury derail him, I think he's still got a lot to show the NBA.

Mavs went cheap. I don't blame Yogi one bit if he considered the offer an insult. I think he really wanted to stay but you can't stay for way less than half the money. At least the weather is nice in Sacramento... I hope he makes the Mavs regret that offer.

That's the first step to Freddie being an NBA starter next year.

I understand the man-crush because he played hard, but I've never bought into the hype. He's getting absolutely exposed in the summer league. It would be 10X worse against NBA regulars. GBI regulars were babbling about his +/- but I'm sure that took a hit last night and his stats are abysmal...shooting a whopping 35%. Maybe he can have a reasonably successful foreign career like Jordy Hulls or Nick Zeisloft, but that's about the ceiling I see for him.

Knicks are a bad organization anyway. Here's hoping he catches on with a better-ran franchise.

Reading this makes me LOL at the sparkling summer performances put up by the highly touted Smellermaker senior class. Don't see James having any chance of sticking even in the G league at this point. Rojo spending another year at IU helps his chances. Thomas looking like he has a solid chance and OG, Yogi and even Troy look like they'll stick around for awhile.
