  1. Robinson for Pappas. 🙄😂😂😂😂. From a Reds fan.
  2. It may be BS, but Fitzgerald is unemployed.
  3. Last done by a Red in 1919. Truly amazing. 😁
  4. Absolutely!!! 😂😂😂😂
  5. Ahhh, yes. Dizzy destroyed the English language as a baseball broadcaster, but no one really cared too much back then when he'd state plainly that the batter looked "mighty hitterish". 😊 Im old enough to remember listening to the late Waite Hoyt, of Yankee fame, telling stories during rain delays of Dizzy, the Babe, and others. What great baseball history. 😊
  6. My unprofessional eyeball test wants to believe Abbott is every bit as good as advertised. Physically, he reminds me of Tom Browning, RIP. He also seems pretty tough mentally like Browning, which I like VERY much. He's also got a cerebral side with other interests, I've heard, though I don't know what they are. 😎
  7. Obviously, Rocky should have been leading off. 😁
  8. What an incredible makeover of that lineup. Amazing. 😁
  9. Still pretty damn terrific! 😁
  10. Yeah, this is the worst looking Cards team in a long time.
  11. Cubs score 3 in the 9th and beat the Brewers 4-3. Nice! 😁
  12. Bob Castellini is very happy these days.
  13. Yeah, I even remember the NFL NY Giants playing in Yankee Stadium. Pro football was WAY behind in popularity "back in the old days". LOL. 😂😂😂
  14. It all started when the Dodgers moved to LA and played in the Coliseum from 1958-1961. Or do we count the Polo Grounds as dual purpose?? 😁
  15. Every team has bad days. Reds like most everyone need pitching... both starting and bullpen.
  16. I'd guess at least part of the reason is that he doesn't believe that he can't trust Williamson much beyond five innings. Could be some analytics along with his gut or just a hunch...who knows.
  17. I was downtown with my wife to meet a friend for lunch today in Cincy. It was noon and the crowds were already building for both the early game and the concert. The Swifties were out in force heading to the Taylor Swift merchandise trucks parked at the Banks. It was a zoo! Great for the Hospitality businesses... and the city in general.
  18. Looks like some nasty weather is headed into Indiana within an hour or so. Strong winds and tornado possibility. Be alert everyone. It appears that the front will drop down through the southern part of the state. Storms moving at 65 mph per Weather Channel. Derecho possible.
  19. Yeah and my concerns will continue to be right there in that reality.
  20. Votto is still a concern for me. Yeah, he had a great start, but he has 5 hits, 4 walks and 11 k's in 27 ab's. That ain't gonna cut it. I'm willing to give him more time, but they need to watch his playing situations closely, imo. I know it's a difficult decision, but if he can't hit his weight...??
  21. Yeah...there were a lot of pitchers. Teams wanted pitching and as I said the Reds were looking to restock the minors with prospects. It wasn't perfect, but it never is. JMHO. 😁
  22. Those pitchers, Mahle, Gray, Castillo aren't doing much right now. And mgmt was looking to stock prospects at that time. If the Reds can play .500 baseball this seaon, then I'm happy. If they somehow win the division...great! But I doubt that's going to happen. The pitching simply isn't there.
  23. Equal parts of stupidity, arrogance, entitlement, hubris, pride etc, etc, etc....and the belief that wealth mattered. JMHO.
