  1. "I chose Kentucky because of the history of success with the guards that have come through there," Fland told On3.
  2. Matt Jones @KySportsRadio I am told (via a text screenshot) that someone saw the picture of Scott Drew eating at the Mexican restaurant in Waco. They figured out which one it was, called it and had the waitress go over and say “we need you in Lexington” BBN insanity is amazing 1:55 PM · Apr 10, 2024 · 285.1K Views
  3. Yeah, you shouldn't mess with happy. Drew's making $5M at Baylor. Perfect culture fit. They just built a new arena. With the way he saved the program, they would never have the quick trigger there that KY would, if he had a couple bad years.
  4. Looking forward to the announcement that they’ve hired Pitino, then BBN learns it’s little Ricky
  5. Sounds like they went to see Drew, but he didn’t come to Lexington? On Wednesday morning, a plane belonging to JC Land LLC — a company owned by Joe Craft, according to business records with the Kentucky Secretary of State — flew to the Waco area. The aircraft was headed back to Lexington later Wednesday morning and scheduled to land around noon. Craft is UK Athletics’ biggest booster and a major donor to the university. https://amp.kentucky.com/sports/college/kentucky-sports/uk-basketball-men/article287535585.html
  6. An IU intern is anxiously preparing the self-report to the NCAA
  7. Purdue is loaded with Indiana players, but Edey has covered a lot of flaws. Caleb Furst was a can’t miss prospect who’s a bust. Malik has been much better than Trey Kaufman Renn. Other than 3 point shooting, Gallo’s stats are better than Loyer’s. Would Braden Smith be the same player with Zed Key or Dain Dainja at center?
  8. I’m sure he’s cooking up something
  9. I know a guy who always tithes 10% to his church. He never gambles, but the first time Powerball hit $1 billion he thought about buying a ticket but was conflicted. He told his pastor and said what should I do if I win, that's dirty money. The pastor put his hand on his shoulder and said son, don't worry, just give the money to the church and the Lord will clean it up
  10. He never said the players needed to hear another voice. He said the program, the university and the fans. It's clear he knew he had worn out his welcome. If you're being run out of town, get out front and pretend you're leading a parade.
  11. Seem like a nice couple, but I just don't think they see eye to eye
  12. IDK. He's a Mormon at BYU. Totally different culture. Immediately after toppling No. 7 Kansas earlier this week — arguably the best win of Pope’s five-year BYU tenure — the Cougars’ head coach reflected on the principle of Sabbath day observance and how he views briefly resting from basketball preparation as a blessing. “Sundays are pretty special for us,” Pope told BYU radio broadcasters Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant. “I’m believing more and more that our prep on Sunday is probably more important than our prep on Monday. It doesn’t guarantee wins or losses, but I’m just a believer ... we’re fortunate that we have these guidelines to follow.”
  13. Their best choice would be Mark Pope. Take that program in a whole different direction than the Calimari drama. Not sure he'd leave BYU, though.
  14. Hurley addressed the opening with a few jokes, telling reporters he doesn't "think that's a concern" when asked about Kentucky. He added they should ask his wife, Andrea, who is also a native of New Jersey. "Oh my God, Kentucky or anywhere that's going to take her further from New Jersey," he said when asked about her reaction to a potential move. "I mean, we just went to Rhode Island, which I had to drag her to, and then to Connecticut. I got her closer. And now further? I can't afford a divorce right now, too. I just started making money." Hurley went on to give some insight into what's next for his program: "Now you're thinking in your brain, as I'm looking at the locker room, about the chance to do it three times, like a dynasty in modern times. I mean, that's what I'm thinking about."
  15. D Hurley, Donovan, Oats, Pitino Sr, Beard
  16. IU runs the weave to run 15 seconds off the shot clock. Half the time the defenders don't even move.
  17. Checked in on Rupp Rafters. A sizable contingent is whining that KY may end up "settling" for Scott Drew (I'd be shocked if he took that job). What a delusional group. I'd bring Drew from Waco to Bloomington in a pedi-cab if that's what it took.
  18. Theyve issued a BOLO for Hermey. Official record said he was on the court for 30 minutes, but there was no actual sighting.
  19. All 12 wins over two NCAATs by 13+ points
  20. It’s incredible that UConn rolled through two consecutive tournaments with two different teams. They had lost 5 of their 8 leading scorers from last year and they were even more dominant this year.
