Edey would foul out in the first 3 minutes of every game if they called this consistently.

Just looked it up. It was the 1968 version not the 70s. Trust me...7th grade me remembers boobs.

I don't believe we go through a five game losing streak in February like we did last year.

I remember watching Romeo and Juliet from the 70s in junior high. There's a scene where they showed boobs. This kid Ryan ran up to the VCR and rewound the video back to the boobs. No way they're showing boobs today. I guess they wouldn't use a VCR either.

Purdue seems to play a sort of 4-1 zone with Edey settled into the paint. Their defense tries to persuade guards to take mid-range jumpers. This IMO is why so few fouls are called on Purdue. I will say that Purdue fell victim to Michigan guards resulting in the most fouls called on them this year in the BIG TEN. They dribbled the ball into the elbow which is the soft spot of the Edey zone. Edey hesitating on the elbow allows better spacing for Dickinson and others. Edey has great foot work but his speed from the elbow to the baseline limits his defensive effectiveness. https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/35534289 In the link above you see the Michigan PG get a pick from Dickinson forcing Edey to drift towards the PG at the elbow. Dickinson gets below the free throw line in his spot with ample room to work. Now the Purdue guards can't provide help defense without allowing a 3 point shooter to be wide open for the pass. If Dickinson gets the ball at or above the free throw line the 4-1 Edey zone can turn off passing lanes to open shooters. Additionally, Edey can still sit in the paint blocking baseline cuts.

I'm curious to hear what you think about Purdue playing a team that shoots extremely well from 3. You all beat Ohio State by 2 points and they're the best 3 point shooting team in the BIG Ten. I wonder what that kind of matchup might look like come March with Edey camping in the lane? I could see a team like Xavier giving you all problems.

Could you imagine Fran in the ACC? I'd watch that.

Maybe TJD has been hiding his jump shot for 1/2 season for just this game?
