In an effort to try to stay positive just a little, Nebraska did have 2 weeks to prepare. Maybe it turns out Mickey Joseph is a decent coach and does better than frost would have done.
That certainly helped. As did playing at home, and us having our two best receivers out.

Well fellas, we have reached the proverbial fork in the road. Which way do we go from this point?
We're sitting on 3 wins, and have 4 potentially winnable games against Rutgers, MSU, Maryland, and Purdue. Injuries and momentum will play a big part in how it plays out. Our margin for error got much smaller to make a bowl game with the loss last night. Hope we catch a break and get the ship headed back in the right direction. Can't have another total collapse like last season.

With that buyout I don’t think we will see a change this year even if we go 3-9. But I could see a one more year to fix this type of scenario. If we look ahead to realistic possibilities, I wonder if Kane Wommack would be a good fit? Our defenses were really good when he was our DC.
I really hope coach Allen can get it turned around. He seems like a great guy, loves the program, and has recruited historically well for us.
But if we do end up making a change in the near future, I really hope we go with an offensive guy. That gives us a puncher's chance in most games, better opportunities for upsets, and it's just more entertaining to watch. If Washington gets left out of the B1G, throw big money at Deboer.

Really hope someone was messing with you. We need our playmakers to get off to a fast start.

OK, well, let's just help DGL out here, huh?
West Lafayette or Champaign? Ugh, Christ that's a kiss your sister dead heat if I ever saw one...Tie
Chief Illiniwek or Purdue Pete? Ol elephantiasis Pete is still around so, point Boilers...
NIL? Thurston Howell the III over Gilligan. Point Illini...
Former players? Purdue at least has John Wooden and Jerry Sichting...enough for this Artesian...Point Boilers...
Underwood or Painter? No contest. Painter might be a PUke, but he at least respects his opponents...Underwood is a wedge-faced, greasy haired punk. Bring the "ROADKILL" on again, sucker! Point Boilers.
Fanbase? Well, both have more deluded people than the cast of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Tie...
Verdict? Well, I'd rather ride down the River Styx in a tanker full of Russian Gas than go to either, so...a tie
Wish there was a golf clap emoji for this. Well done sir.

Former Nebraska defensive coach, Rick Kaczenski just RIPPED Coach Allen, saying in an radio interview....."Is there a bigger clown in college football than Tom Allen?"
Listen to his interview.... It will make your blood boil. Great locker room material for coach and the team..... Wow, just Wow! What an a$$!

If that doesn't make our guys come out fast and aggressive, nothing will. Time to make a statement. This isn't the 1900's Nebraska, YOU now are the team in the West all the East times want on their schedule. 🤣

Love the idea. We'll need to revamp our line to be more attractive to that level of transfer talent. Said in the article his performance decreased when he averaged getting sacked twice per game. If I'm Bachmeier, I give a strong look at Washington.

This is the kind of game where I wish we were a first half team. Punch them in the mouth at the opening and the game is over.
Exactly! I hope that is the emphasis all week. Give your halftime speech BEFORE the game. Start fast and crush their will.

As well as Tuttle played hurt. He didn’t get QB1 snaps all off season, OL was still garbage, etc, etc. MSU had an NFL running back. Btown is a blowhard who can’t admit when he’s wrong. Best to just move on and let his bad takes play out on their own.
CTA’s blind and deaf loyalty to Hiller us and will be his downfall. It’s sad because there’s no reason to stick your neck out for a crap OL coach just because he’s your friend. We had an amazing thing going and CTA let it implode. He’s simply not a head coach at this level. Not everyone is meant to be CEO.
So strange about Hiller. Everyone saw it except Allen. Afraid it will sink him.

This just isnt close to true lol
So his completion percentage, in spite of a horrible offensive line is acceptable? We will not agree on this.

He regularly makes the right decision. Thats not debatable.
If by regularly you mean 50% of the time, then yes.

He doesnt though. They're still in his face, or WRs arent open..
Bazelak complaints are strange man. And we certainly don't have anyone better.
We'll agree to disagree

This just isn't true and you need to use a lens of reality.
He is under excessive pressure due to Hiller's poor offensive protection, but he makes poor decisions and throws when he has time. That's not debatable.

Look at how many rushers are moving the OL back into the QB face
True, but what about when rolls put and has time? He tends take bad choices or throws about half the time as his stats show.

I think Bazelak is doing a pretty solid job.
I'd say mediocre job honestly. Just not a big fan.

Fair enough. As we've discussed, he doesn't step into throws well, which could be the product of poor protection. But I don't like his decision making when he does have time.

Wanting to bench Bazelak is laughable though.
Appreciate your thoughts. I understand Bazelak is under extreme pressure usually, but you think he makes good decisions and throws when he has time or rolls out?

I'm trying to say something positive, so we're still undefeated and we've come back in every game.

Cincy only has 9 rushing yards.
We have no qb pressure, and db's are missing assignments. Why run?

Gotta change something up. Bazelak is too inconsistent. Time to give Tuttle a look in a lost game.

That's a great question. Our secondary was supposed to be a strength. Lack of pass rush is definitely a factor. More time to throw lets our db's get exposed easier.
