It’s in the 80’s down there and contrary to popular belief there are some good looking people down there. Hopefully he meets some of the others!

It's raining and temperatures are dropping down here. Allergies are horrible. All the Bama fans are talking about is the Masters and spring football. Stay north young man!

People act like IU didn’t show him some serious $$$ too. IU hasn’t plenty of money to throw at guys in NIL. Just ask TJD

I 100% agree with you, and the NIL now has things mostly above-board, which definitely helps IU. Just having flashbacks to the Clowney recruitment.

Oh I don't want to see that but in the B1G, if, IF it became necessary for like 6 minutes a game, it can be done because of Malik's ability.

Absolutely agree. Until the B1G stops allowing rugby style basketball,  and decides it wants success in recruting and the NCAA tournament,  we have to prepare for battle in the post. Hopefully CMW can straddle the line the way Izzo has to be successful at both.

The other thing is, Malik can play the 4.  So both these guys can still get 22-25 mins.  Even call it 50 minutes combined there is still 30 mins at the 4.  We need some big capable bodies no matter how you cut it.

I see what you're saying,  but I hope we don't see Malik at the 4 with another post that can't shoot. Much rather have Malik in the post with a player like Banks at the 4. Completely understand the circumstances with TJD and who CW could pair with him, but I hope we open the post up for drivers in the future.

  5. I'm really going to miss seeing TJD in an IU jersey. There is now way I thought we would get 4 years of him. It would've been great if he'd had coach Woodson and a better roster all 4 years, but he handled everything with such amazing class. He raised our status on and off the court again. Best wishes on a bright future!

If he can't get in the lane for us, he isn't playable, imo.

But-- XJ 32-34mpg, TG 25-28mpg, Bates 22-28mpg (at least), Cupps 15mpg.... You see where I'm going with this.... if Gunn or Newton can play next year, there isn't really mins 1-3...plus you have Banks.

This is where I'm at as well. We need two post players, and a wing/stretch 4 that can shoot based on graduation losses. If we have transfers, tall wings that can shoot would be a major preference. One of the posts needs to have at least a respectable outside shot. We need to end the days of having two post players in the game with zero threat of shooting outside.

The selection committee likes to set up tv worthy possibilities. I'm not as concerned about seeding as I am the location and path.

Yes, you have to beat good teams at some point regardless but I wouldn't be shocked to see some historically relevant rivalries awaiting in round 2.

    Count on it

I just think in recruiting we need to look for guys who plays with a chip in their shoulder and are dogs on the court. It seems like we have a few players on the team who sometimes loses focus or play to soft for my liking

I think you just described Cupps and Newton.  We just need more like them.

  9. Have to contained Young's penetration better. He killed us in the second half, which lead to him scoring or dishing for open 3's. This is a team that Xavier would've really helped with his defense and ball handling.

Hopefully a neutral whistle allows us to take advantage of what TJD and JHS do well. Maryland is actually a great team to prepare us for what we have struggled with; teams with length and penetrating point guards.

He took a pretty sizable jump from Year 1 to 2. I expect more of the same!

He still has a high ceiling, but lacks consistency.  Hope he puts in the work to realize his potential. With his length, he can be a great 3 and D guy on the wing.
