  1. Crisler Center only seats 12,700? That's cute. Been at HS games with over 10K. I hope we bully UM. Remember this beatdown?
  2. I think it would be stupid for OSU to fire CH.
  3. Absolutely they do. They are a very solid basketball team and I love Brooks Barnhizer. Loved him in HS. NW is firmly in the tourney, currently, with their play in conference. Their only losses OOC are to PItt+Auburn, now they didn't play anybody else, but still.. no bad losses. I've always thought Collins was a well-above average coach. NW is lucky to have him. Notre Dame, imo, should look hard at Collins.
  4. https://iuhoosiers.com/sports/baseball/roster Roster is posted
  5. I just don't know that they write as many articles as the men... certainly not right after a game.. But... 2 of the top 10 headlines on ESPNs women page are about "IU". One even directly mentions Indiana.
  6. He's never played the 4, but go on.
  7. Blaine Deaton, Tucker Shank aren't on the roster as surprises. Matthew Cuzco and McKay Whitaker are true FR that I don't think are on the roster, whether they are RS or just not in school at IU... not sure. Remember Bothwell RS his FR year at IU.
  8. I want more Malik too. The bold-- I don't think we are in that type of spot in the season to do that. Your post is great and makes perfect sense. 100% agree the last 5 games ish, he's really improved. He's still avg 17mpg the last 5 games, so he's still playing a fair amount. (Race is playing 24mpg)... Bottom line... I simply understood why Woodson went with Race late in the game the other night(Malik had 3-4 defensive breakdowns the other evening, and luckily RU didn't execute on 2 of them).. plus, Malik vs. McConnell and then getting switched onto the other guards could have been problematic. ...But, I also think Race simply playing better, while still playing Malik 15-20 mins, is our best route to success. It's just not as easy as saying "Malik should play more than Race because look, he has a higher offensive rating" Not saying at all that you are saying that or even that Inequality is saying that (that is who posted the original tweet from SS).... but some are saying that, then also acting like Woodson is negligible for NOT playing Malik. That is my issue.
  9. Gulp.. I think we will be a road favorite in this game.
  10. He didn't really looked hobbled to me. vs. Maryland late in the game, it looked like he was hobbled... vs. Purdue and Rutgers, it seems to me the knee has gotten quite a bit better. I don't think he was late on many closeouts last night, other than by design. Like we wanted Hyatt shooting 3s. To the bold, I would say... we have been pretty good in tight games late, right? Allowing second chances is a team thing and not just a Race Thompson thing. I want Race to be better, undoubtedly. All I'm saying.. I completely get why they have decided he's the best option, at times. My only opinion.
  11. Yes, he needs to play at a quicker pace offensively.... undoubtedly. It was glaringly obvious late in the game, Malik wasn't going to have a good matchup on the defensive end, and again... we really like to switch 1-4... Malik makes that extremely harder. And he got lost in transition D multiple times last night. The blanket statement--- "Malik should play more than Race"... nahhh, not buying, and I'm definitely not when there isn't someone for Malik to guard because as we've seen, he can be a complete defensive liability.
  12. Sam should do their defensive rating during the same time frame. There is literally another end of the court this thread and most IU fans are just completely ignoring.
  13. Ehhh.... he's thinking about Dickinson, who might be the douchiest of all.
  14. Sports, high intense situations, can bring out a poor side in a lot of us. Poor decision on his part last night. He took the L and was a complete non-factor in the game. As I and a couple of others mentioned before... want them again in the B1GT for a rubber match.
  15. Damn. Anderson is a top 20 team in the state, as well.
  16. I had assumed all of this was understood, and you're right, and I agree.... And what little I know about PM... doesn't seem like he's going to do that.
  17. Watching the replay... 11 min mark-- Malik over helps for no reason (Cliff Em wasn't even in the game) on a roll to the basket by RU backup FR big guy.... he's left Palmquist wide open for a 3. 905- great pass by Bates to Kopp in the corner. Tamar has started to pass a little better. 725- JG doesn't know the scouting report. Leaves Palmquist for a non shooter. 645- JG/IU doesn't get matched up. Palmquist 3.
  18. Race is shooting 90% from the line in conference play and 75% for the season.
  19. Shooting 72% from the foul line since Jan 1.
  20. You guys ever officiated an elementary school recess? Wild Wild West out there. Kids tripping kids left and right. Mulcahy Culkin would fit right in.
