these scholarship grids have me all messed up. They should reflect the actual class and put an * next to everyone that has the extra year of eligibility due to covid year.... anyway
I was trying to go through the numbers of who can leave, and who can stay. then i thought everyone could stay, but also everyone could leave... the 5 seniors and TJD are the obvious potential departures.
Point being... recruit on. i like your number of 4
Ideally im thinking 3-4 HS recruits and 1-2 transfers
I am losing track of who I want to see in this class, but the thought of some combination of the following works for me.
Gunn, Washington, Clowney, Flipowski, Banks, Phillips, Taylor, Rice, Casey
I'm sure I left some out. We are in on some really solid players. As I mentioned this class could change things dramatically.

I’m excited about this class, and could genuinely see if serving as a cultural shift for the program. I know there isn’t any clarity at this point in terms of scholarships, but I have no problem seeing at least 4 high quality players donning the stripes from this class of 22.

I have to admit I looked quickly and my mind went to Kelly Kapowski, 20 years ago I would have been recruiting her also but not to play basketball, well that could also end well too I think😀
Sorry to derail, not really but I can fake it.
Zack would be jealous.

He told me IU hasn't started recruiting his twin yet but he is starting to get higher profile interest.
Thanks. I noticed on his brother Matthew’s Twitter that many of the offers seem to be mid major programs.

Any idea of interest in his twin?

I am very intrigued by the different 2022 prospects we seem to be pursuing. It could turn into an incredible class.

Just happy it was Roberts decision. He deserved a spot with us, completely understand and respect him moving on.
Whether I am a fan of the move or not it does make sense considering his history with Miller.

First of all, Mike does a great job...
Second of all.. I am admittedly always optimistic, but this article sounds really good with the lines of communication being built.
I really like the Fife connection.

Well look at that. Another weekend has come and gone and Brooks is still at the school down south. What day of the week will he be connected to IU this week lol
I’m guessing preferred walk on Wednesday. 🤓

Is the Brooks interest because he’s an Indiana guy? Or is it about taking someone from Kentucky? Perhaps one of these two is the intrigue or interest? 🤷♂️

Rivals ranks Bates to IU the top recruiting story of the week.
A case can be made that Tamar Batessigning with Indiana is the most important story of the late period. Yes, more important than the No. 1 overallChet Holmgren choosing Gonzaga. Yes, bigger than whatever ends up happening with No. 3 overallPatrick Baldwin Jr., the nation's top uncommitted player. What makes Bates-to-Bloomington so intriguing isn’t Bates’ massive upside or really anything to do with him as a prospect. Instead, it’s what his commitment says about the Hoosiers’ coaching hire.
The main question surrounding Indiana’s decision to tag Mike Woodson as the program’s new leader was whether or not the 63-year-old coach with next to no college experience would want to do what it takes to recruit on the sport’s highest level. A few weeks later he answered such questions by landing Bates, a former Texas commit that chose IU over Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Illinois, Washington and others.
One commitment won’t make or break the Woodson Era, but it’s hard to imagine a better start when it comes to putting knee-jerk criticisms to rest. Sometimes lazy narratives are easy to dispel. Bates didn’t land in Woodson’s lap by accident, after all.

I agree. He was at the top of my list as well.
