One thing I was never able to do was take my grandpa catfishing on the Santee Cooper in South Carolina. He got to where he just couldn't go on long drives anymore.

That's awesome. I've been to 38 states for one reason or another. I have a map somewhere with the routes I've used. Don't know if I'll get to Alaska or Hawaii but would like to hit all CONUS states.

Ever heard of a reverse sear? Sear on high heat then cook indirect low. Usually finished in the oven. Not sure if it would take on smoke after searing. I may have to try it.

Had fried chicken a couple weeks ago. The IGA stores around me sell Gabes deli chicken. Pretty good stuff. Now I have a craving. Fried chicken is good for lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day. Reheats well in the oven.

I often wonder if sellers have an account setup so they can drive the price up or buy it back if they don't get what they want. I've been on some auctions where it's sells for more than market value.
