I am putting this here for pure volume of views and hopefully many thoughts and prayers for lifelong IU fan and Decatur County resident Brad Bryant.  As he battles brain cancer.. Brad was the Boys basketball coach at South Decatur when I first got there and later he was the Girls basketball coach at North Decatur.  He is an educator, a family man and just a great man in general.

I ask for you to pray for Brad and his healing.  I spoke with his Mom yesterday and she said they need a miracle. I still know that my God is in the miracle business and I have faith that he can heal Brad. Without this healing the outlook is not good at all and will not be long. Also pray for his wife and 3 kids. Brad and his oldest kids lost his wife and their Mom to cancer several years ago. Those kids have been through so much. I ask for your prayers. Thank you and tell those  special people in your life just how much you love them. Life is fragile and tomorrow is never a guarantee

    Praying, my friend...

Like I said yesterday, her head finally popped.  She is unarguably the best gymnast ever but you wait until your career is over.  The rhinestone goat was a curse.

That’s what I was getting at…… Stay humble and you will be evaluated when your career is over.

What disappoints me with the whole Simone thing is calling yourself the "GOAT", having a literal Goat embroidered in your shirt, etc. and then saying it's a mental thing.

You added pressure and attention to yourself by doing so. She certainly can't avoid all attention and pressure; I get it comes with being one of the best athletes in the world. But adding to it by claiming yourself to be the GOAT?

At the end of the day, she's a talented, decorated athlete for Team USA. She has to do what's best for herself. I wish nothing but the best. But if you're going to call yourself the GOAT, it's going to come at a cost.

….Very well written and you took the words right out of my mouth.
In my opinion, being labeled “G.O.A.T.” is earned and acquired in the rarest of company.
IMO, saying you’re the “GOAT” only means you’re trying to convince others you are. A true, “GOAT” labeled athlete is always humble and often turns attention away from themselves.

I'll take 9-3 and an Outback bowl every year

…..at least. It’s sort of how we used to think about IU basketball back in the day. It was a given we were ALWAYS ranked/always made the tournament, just getting past the sweet 16 was almost expect. With that being said…..I want guys from our back yard,  like Curry on a regular basis. IU is in uncharted territory!!!!! Go IU!!!!!

I really feel like the overall confidence in the team is rising by the minute. The players seem genuinely excited and they will be given green lights until they prove that they don't deserve it.

Kopp might not be the best defender, rebounder or passer, but fortunately, we have other players who excel in those departments. Maybe he doesn't need to be. He can focus on what he's good at.

I'm most excited about the general spacing that Coach Woodson is bringing in. He's going to have a system that allows the space for shooters to shoot, rebounders to rebound, and passing lanes for our quick guards to penetrate and dish.

If feels like there is balance again.

    ....... Reggie Miller.

My goodness Mr. H.. how else would you read it?! 😆

O.K. smart a**....lol I am just having a hard time figuring out who else would consider leaving....... Honestly, why would anyone else want to leave? Unless you were told your role will be drastically reduced.... This NEW coaching staff and current roster, (on paper) looks NASTY!

I think it's fair to say very few of us expected CMW to hit the ground running quite like this.  So impressive.

A useful reminder that people (e.g. Dolson) get paid a LOT of money to figure this out and as shocking as it may sound, he might know a little more about basketball than we do.

It’s like in the movies......I can’t get this image out of my head.....Coach Woodson, Coach Fife, Coach Rosemond, Coach Hunter and Coach Matta walking into a crowded room.... (all in a regal, slow motion pace)....The crowd is in awe. 🤩🤓

Maybe this is wrong but once they bail out on Indiana I could care less what they do or why they made the decision they did. It's kind of like having an ex-wife. I don't want anything bad to happen to them but I also wouldn't give them the time of day or ever root for them.

.....Exact feelings Jeff! Once they "break-up", I'm done, it's time to move on. Without sounding cruel and harsh, to be honest, "they're dead to me." Next....
