Maybe...again I'll trust the coaches to get him where he would need to be. Just I saw some things that would make me pause and question. I'm not trying to say he won't be a good ball player or isn't. I just see some things that he will have to overcome at a higher level....we've seen it go both ways.

I agree it is difficult to know how a prospect develops and lots of fun to watch their progression

And what I'm saying is much of his scoring I saw was others creating for him. He stood in the corner a lot and drained 3's or yes finished fast breaks or got to the rim when a lane was wide open because a defender went to help and made a poor closeout. When I watched him with a guy straight up guarding him he wasn't able to get around his man, was weak with the ball and his passes and was beat on defense by guys much quicker of foot. Again, that isn't to say he isn't good, could have been a bad game...but I saw the other side of the coin. Fact is he is on basically one of the most loaded AAU teams in Florida, so he benefited from that some. Kid has a special talent for shot making...no doubt about that....but we've seen that before, and that isn't always enough. Obviously I will trust the staff on him because they've seen more than just a few games but I do think there are questions there with this recruit. Just like I have questions of Gunn as well. No doubt they can easily get past all that and that my observations may be flawed...but I still have them none the less.

Sounds like draymond green when he was a kid lol

Thanks for the intel, as always.  The two guys I want are Clowney and Hood-Schifino.  Couple them with the two guys we have already and IMO that would be an excellent class under the circumstances (new staff).  We get those two and we can call it a day as far as I’m concerned.

That’s a good class new staff or not! Expectations need to be realistic some classes will be better than 2022 class others will not

    I agree.

Ayden loves old rock music we bought a 1954 stereo console and have started picking up some old vinyl. The stones are on his short list

I think that is awesome and sounds like he knows good music! I love those old consoles wish I still had mine that was my parents but gave it to my little sister. Glad to hear about the old vinyl I gave mine away to a young enthusiast about 15 to 20 years ago what a great hobby and interest for Ayden and you to have together that really warms my heart

But you just might get what you need

Lol I hope so I wish nothing but the best for the young man and that’s ok with me if he lights us up for 40 just makes for a competitive recruiting rivalry. And I really hope we get who are priority recruits are

    ps love The Rolling Stones

Maybe he was told no offer was coming. Why not go to the program that has owned IU past 4 years and give them a close up look of what they misses. He will be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder especially against IU

I will compare it to a girl breaking your heart and then you hook up with her sister and also be sure that she hears you in the next room.

Maybe is a bigger word than if

They are far from perfect. So maybe people closer to the situation might just know enough to have an opinion that the kid is good enough. You cannot have 13 all Americans on a team. You can never have too many shooters.

Maybe he doesn't pan out but there are no guarantees that the others we have offered will either just because they are 2 inches taller and perceived to be more athletic.

Well that’s life you don’t always get what you want
